Installation Basic Features

1. Go to the App Store

2. Tap the Search bar on the top of your screen

3. Type innocaption in the search field

4. Tap the Search button on the bottom of your screen

5. Tap Install to complete installation of the InnoCaption App on your iPhone

Activation Basic Features

1. Tap the InnoCaption icon on your screen

2. Input your cellphone number, not your InnoCaption number, then tap Done

3. Set the Legal Agreement to Green

4. Tap Agree

5. Tap Allow to allow InnoCaption to access your location(1) while you use the App

6. Tap Yes when asked if you need captions on all of your phone calls (mandated by the FCC)

7. Tap Settings; your InnoCaption Number will be displayed(2) under InnoCaption Service

(1) The InnoCaption App will only use your current location when you dial 911. (2) If there is no InnoCaption number displayed, please tap Retry Activation

Outgoing Calls Basic Features

1. Enter the 10-digit phone number of the person you are trying to reach and press the Call button

1b. Tap Contacts in the InnoCaption App, pick a person from your contacts list, tap the phone number to make a call. Do not tap the headset icon, this will cause your phone to make an outgoing call, not the InnoCaption App

2. Tap Call

3. Tap the banner Notification that says “CLICK HERE for CAPTIONS”

4. Click YES when asked “Launch Captioning?” and you will be connected to one of our Communication Assistants (CAs)

Important: When making an outgoing call, the person you are trying to reach will see your InnoCaption number on their Caller ID, not your mobile phone number

Please keep in mind that, if your cell phone does not support simultaneous Voice & Data (SVD), you must be connected to a wi-fi instead to make and/or receive calls

*In order to receive captions on your incoming phone calls, the other party must call your InnoCaption Number, not your original cell phone number

1. When the phone rings, slide right to answer the call

2. Tap the Notification banner that says “CLICK HERE for CAPTIONS”

3. Enter your Passcode (if required)

4. The InnoCaption App will launch automatically and you will be connected to one of our Communication Assistants (CAs)

Please keep in mind that the party trying to reach you must dial your 10-digit InnoCaption number, if you would like captions on your incoming call

If your phone does not support simultaneous Voice & Data, please make sure you are connected to a wi-fi connection

If you are unable to answer a call, the call will go to your InnoCaption Voicemail system 13

InnoCaption Voicemail Advanced Features

When you have a new voicemail, a red circle with a number will appear on your home screen. The number inside the red circle reflects the number of voicemail messages your currently have on your InnoCaption Voicemail

1. Open the InnoCaption App

2. Press the # (pound) sign and then tap Call. You can also hold down the # (pound) sign for 1-2 seconds

3. Tap the banner Notification that says “CLICK HERE for CAPTIONS”

4. Once you are connected, the following message will say: “Welcome to the InnoCaption voicemail system. You have ____ new messages in your mailbox. To listen to your message, press 1. To disconnect, press * or hang up.”

5. Press the keypad on the bottom of your screen and select 1 to listen. After listening to the first message, you will see the following message: “…end of message. To erase, press 7. To save, press 9.”

6. After a message is deleted, the following appears on your screen: “…message is deleted. Next message…”

Please keep in mind that personalized greeting message is not available at this time 14

Your Other Phone for Voice Advanced Features

1. Open the InnoCaption App and go to Settings. Tap Your Other Phone for Voice

2. Tap +Add if you wish to add a number from your Contacts List

3. Tap the Edit button if you wish to manually add a 10-digit number

4. To remove a phone number from the list, tap the Trashcan icon to the right of the number

5. When you make an outgoing call, you will be asked “Do you want to hear the call from a different phone, while using this phone for captions only?” Tap Yes to confirm

6. Select a phone for voice from the list

Important: This feature is only available for outgoing calls at the moment

Please keep in mind that the phone you select for other voice will start ringing. Pick it up to receive the audio on that particular phone. Your InnoCaption App will be used for captions only 15

Caption Auto Scroll On/Off Advanced Features

1. To turn Auto Scroll OFF, tap the Pause button on the bottom righthand corner of your screen. You can also touch or pinch the screen

2. To turn Auto Scroll ON, tap the Green Scroll button on the bottom righthand corner of your screen

Review / Save Call Transcripts Advanced Features

1. To review your call transcript, tap Recents on the bottom of your screen 2. Tap the Caption Dialog icon to the right of the phone call you wish to

review 3. Tap the Send icon on the top of your screen. Tap OK when asked “Do you

want to send it via email?”4. Your default email App will automatically open. Enter your email address

Caption Font Size & Color Advanced Features

1a. To change the caption size, tap Settings. Scroll down to Font Size under Caption. Select the appropriate font size. Tap Apply

1b. To decrease the font size, bring your fingers together. To make the font size bigger, spread your fingers apart

2. To change the caption color, go to Settings. Under Font Color, select the appropriate color. You may also change the background color

Favorites Advanced Features

1. To manage your favorite contacts, tap Favorites

2. To edit your favorites list, tap the edit button on the top left-hand corner

3. To delete a number from your favorites list, tap edit and then the – sign. Confirm that the number will be deleted.

4. To change the order in which your favorite numbers appear, click edit. Hold the = button to the right of the person you are trying to move. Move it up or down and then let go of the button.

5. To add a new contact, tap the + button on the top right-hand corner 19

Speed Dial Advanced Features

1. Tap Settings

2. Tap Speed Dial under Dialer

3. To assign a new number, tap + Add New

4. To remove a number from your Speed Dial list, tap the Trashcan icon

5. Press Yes when asked “Are you sure?” to confirm

6. To use Speed Dial, press and hold the number associated with the person you are trying to reach. You will be automatically connected to one of our Communication Assistants (CAs) 20

Block Unwanted Calls Advanced Features

1. Open the InnoCaption App and tap Recents

2. To block a call, slide left on the call that you wish to block

3. Tap More

4. Tap Add to Block List

5. To unblock a number, go to Settings and tap Block List

6. Tap the Trashcan icon located next to the number you wish to remove from your blocked list

7. Tap Yes when asked “Are you sure?” to confirm

View & Protect Call Transcript Advanced Features

1. To manage your call history, tap Recents

2. Slide left on the call you wish to view

3. To review the transcript, tap View

4. To protect/unprotect a call log, tap More

5. Tap Protect Call Log*

*The InnoCaption App automatically deletes transcripts after three days to make room for new ones. If there is an important transcript you would like to keep for longer, make sure it is protected by following the steps mentioned above 22

Caption Rating On/Off Advanced Features

3. To turn Caption Rating off, tap NO

4. To turn Caption Rating on, tap YES

Others Advanced Features

If for some reason your InnoCaption App does not work or does not show the InnoCaption Number in the Settings menu, or if youhave installed the InnoCaption App on a new smartphone, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the InnoCaption App and tap Settings

2. Tap Retry Activation

Troubleshooting Additional Settings

1. Data Network Signal

Check if your phone has either a stable 4G or Wi-Fi connection.

2. Simultaneous Voice & Data (SVD)

If your phone does not support Simultaneous Voice & Data, please connect to a Wi-Fi connection.

3. Google Voice and other dialer applications (VoIP)

If you have registered with a virtual number, please contact us ([email protected]) to change your mobile number.

If any other dialer application is set as the default dialer in your phone, please have it removed.

4. If the InnoCaption App still does not work, please try: Open InnoCaption App > Settings > Retry Activation
