Step 2: Modify the CallManager Enterprise Parameters to reflect names you have configured. The phones will try to resolve the hostnames with the DNS provided via DHCP, i.e. with the respective on-site router. Run the CUCMAdmin utility and navigate to System > Enterprise Parameters. Change all URLs to use the “CUCM-CLUSTER” hostname instead of the Publisher default name or IP address.

Step 3: Make sure server hostnames are in use, and not the IP addresses for the CCM physical servers. Navigate to System > Cisco Unified CM and change the names or IP addresses to “CUCM7-PUB” and “CUCM7-SUB” respectively for the Publisher and Subscriber.

Step 4: Proceed with creating the Cisco CallManager group. Navigate to System > Cisco Unified CM Group and select the “Default” group. Change the order of the CallManagers so that the Subscriber is placed first and rename the group to “CUCM_GROUP”.

Task 2.1

Step 1: Navigate to Route Plan > Class of Control > Partitions and click the Add a New Partition link. Add two new partitions named “PT_USA" and "PT_GLOBAL"

Next navigate to Route Plan > Class of Control > Calling Search Space and click the Add a New Calling Search Space link

Add a new CSS called “CSS_HQ_DEVICE” containing partition “PT_USA”. Copy the new CSS and rename it to “CSS_BR1_DEFAULT". Next, add a new CSS named "CSS_GLOBAL" adding partition "PT_GLOBAL"

Step 2: Navigate to System > Device Pool and click the Find button to list the available device pools. Rename the “Default” device pool to “DP_HQ”, and set the Calling Search Space for Auto-Registration to “CSS_HQ_DEVICE” then click the Update button. Copy the “DP_HQ” device pool and name the new one “DP_BR1”. Finally, create a device pool named "DP_BR2".

Step 3: Use the CUCM Serviceability Subsystem. Navigate to Tools > Service Activation. Choose the server corresponding to the CUCM Publisher first. Activate all the services except for the following: “Cisco Messaging Interface“,“Security Services“,“Cisco Certificate Authority Proxy Function“ and “Cisco WebDialer“. Activate the same set of services, with the exception of “Cisco TFTP Server“, in the Subscriber CallManager.

Step 4: Login to the CUCMAdmin utility and proceed to System > Cisco Unified CM. Enable Auto-Registration with the “CCM-PUB” CallManager using extension range “1001-1003”, and the external phone number mask “775201XXXX”

Navigate to System > Cisco Unified CM Group and change the order of the CallManagers in the group so that “CUCM-PUB” is preferred over “CUCM-SUB”. Don't forget to switch it back, after the auto-registration has completed. Phones will now auto-register.

Perform the following steps to complete the IP Phone registration & configuration.

Step 1: If you are using soft-phones, configure them to register with the CallManager server. Next, login to the CCMAdmin utility, navigate to Device > Phone and click the Find button to list all registered phones. Ensure all your IP phones have registered with the CallManager cluster.

Create a table of IP Phone MAC addresses and their associations to the IP Phones in the rack (e.g. MAC “0123.4567.89AB” is HQ IP Phone 1 etc). Use the “show cdp neighbor“ command on the switches to accomplish this. Using the MAC address table, locate the respective phone in the list of registered phones and start configuring them one by one.

Step 2: Select the phone you want to configure and set the proper “Device Pool” (“DP_HQ” or “DP_BR1”), “Description” (e.g. “HQ IP Ph1”), “Calling Search Space” (“CSS_HQ_DEFAULT” for the HQ Phones and “CSS_BR1_DEFAULT” for the BR1 Phones), at the device-level settings.

Step 3: Once you have finished with the device settings, click on the primary DN (Line 1) of the phone. Change the “Directory Number” to match the one assigned to the phone per the information provided. Set “Display (Internal Called ID) ” to a value that matches the phone, e.g. “HQ IP Ph1”. Ensure the “External Phone Number Mask” matches the site the phone belongs to (“775201XXXX” and “312301XXXX” for HQ and BR1 respectively).

Repeat Steps 2-3 until you have all the phones configured.

Chose the gateway protocol to be used, in this case PRI:

Configure the applicable settings for the gateway. The End-Point name and description are automatically configured, and will be used later for configuration of the channel status. All settings required must be configured as shown below:

Step 4: Create two MRGs under the Service > Media Resource > Media Resource Groupsection of the menu containing the Publisher and Subscriber MoH servers, name them “MRG_MOH_PUB” and “MRG_MOH_SUB”. Do not enable the multicast flag for any of these groups.

Step 5: Add an MRG named “MRG_MOH_SUB_MCAST” that contains only the Subscriber MoH server and has the multicast flag checked.

Perform the following steps to complete Web-Initialization of Cisco Unity Express

Step 1: Run the CUE Web-Init dialog (CUCME system must be pre-configured already with the HTTP server enabled). Open the URL “http://177.3.1.254/Web” in your browser then login with the username “administrator” and the password “cisco”. Click the link Run Initialization Wizard.

Step 2: On the CallManager Express Login page enter hostname “177.3.11.1” (IP Address of the CUCME system) and the login/password you configured under “telephony-service” earlier (“administrator/cisco”).

Step 3: On the Import CUCME Users page, check that both users are already created in the CME system and that you checked the “Mailbox” fields.

Step 4: On the Defaults page, check “Blank password” and “Blank PIN” fields. On the Call Handling page set “Voice Mail Number” to “3500”, set AvT number as “3555”, then select “MWI On Number” as “3998….” and “MWI Off Number” as “3999….”. Finish the WebInit process.

Task 11.2

Step 1: Create a new user named “telecaster“ in the Global directory (User Management > End User), assign the password value of “telecaster” and a PIN value of “1234”. Check the “Enable CTI Application Use” field for this user. Click the Device Associations link and associate this user with “HQ IP Phone 3” as well. Do not select a primary or ICD extension for this user.

Step 2: Run the CRS Editor application, open the default script “icd.aef” and save it in the Default repository under the name “my_icd.aef”. Add a new “String” variable named “strScriptName” with the value of “Custom_ICD_Script”

Step 3: Add a new Expanded Call Variable to pass the script name to the ICD agent application. Navigate to Settings > Expanded Call Variables from the menu and in the Edit Expanded Call Variable window add a new variable with a “Name” value of “strScriptName”, “Type” of “Scalar” and “Description” field set to “Script Name”.

Step 4: Add a new “Enterprise::SetEnterpriseCallInfo” step right after the “Accept” step in the ICD script. Under the step properties, Select the “Expanded Call Variable” tab and click the Addbutton. Add a new variable with the “Value” of “strScriptName” and “Name” of “--strScriptName--”

Step 5: Enable MoH to be played to contacts waiting on queue. Add “Call Contact::Call Hold” and “Call Contact::Call Unhold” steps to the script, before and after the “Delay” step under the “Queued” branch of the “Select Resource” step.:

Step 6: Change the Agent Desktop layout and add a new field corresponding to your previously created Extended Call Variable to the field list. Start the Desktop Administration application from the “Cisco” menu. From the “Locations” list expand your cluster (e.g. “ccie”) and expand the “Enterprise Data Configuration” branch. Select “Enterprise Data” and under the “Field List” click the “Add” button and add a new field with the “Field Index” of “1” and “Field Name” of “strScriptName” and “Display Name” of “Script Name”.

Step 7: Edit the “default” layout, and add the new field to it and ensure that “strScriptName” is under the “Fields in Layout” section (move it from the “Available Fields” if needed). Click the Apply button and save changes to the “default” layout.

Step 8: Configure the IP Agent Phone service for single touch sign-on. Open the URL for IP Agent Phone Service (you may find it back in the IPCC integration section or copy and paste from Cisco IP Phone Services Configuration section) in your browser. Copy the URL “http://177.1.10.10:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentLogin.jsp” from the XML page and create a new IP Phone service named “IPPA Single Touch” under Device > Device Settings > Phone Services section.

Step 9: Add three new parameters named “ID”, “Pwd” and “Ext” to the new IP Phone service.These are to be used as automatic supplements of username, password and extension number for an ICD agent user.

Step 10: Navigate to the Device > Phone section of the menu and select “HQ IP Phone 3”. Click the Subscribe/Unsubscribe Services link and add the above-created service “IPPA Single Touch”. Set the parameter values as the following: “ID”=”icdagent”, “Pwd”=”cisco”, “Ext”=”2003”. Update the subscription to complete the task.
