4 kids’ literacy computers

With a grant from the Hale County Literacy Council we were able to create a 4-workstation juvenile literacy center so that kids from 4-12 could experience technology first hand. Touchscreen moni-tors allow creativity to flourish and educa-tional programs help develop basic skills.

Kindles available for circulation—just like a book! For the past couple of years the library has employed a unique program of circulating eBooks on Kindles to our patrons. Some books are purchased in eBook format from Amazon and put on Kindles as single titles and are treated exactly as our circulation books are, two-week checkout and all. You just have to turn it on and press page turns.
