Transcript of Two Point Perspective
There may be TWO Vanishing Points in a composition…•each will be somewhere on the Horizon Line•this is called Two Point Perspective
Two Point Perspective is a more useful drawing system than simple One Point Perspective.
Objects drawn in Two Point Perspective have a more natural look.
In Two Point Perspective the sides of the object vanish to one of two vanishing points on the
horizon.
By changing the proximity of the vanishing points to the object, you can make the object look big or small.

Horizon Line
Drawing Two-Point Perspective
1. Draw a horizon and place TWO vanishing points (VP) somewhere (on opposite sides) on this line.
Vanishing Points
3. Draw four lines, two from the top of the vertical line and two from the bottom which also pass through the vanishing point.
Horizon Line
Two-Point: ABOVE/BELOW 1. Begin the same way – horizon line and TWO
vanishing points
Vanishing Point
2. Draw a vertical line either above or below the horizon line, then draw four lines from its ends which also pass through the vanishing point.
In your sketchbook, practice drawing three boxes using two-point perspective…1) Below the horizon line2) Above the horizon line3) On the horizon line
