Transcript of Year 8 Design Technology 2 Point Perspective. Introduction Two point perspective is a 3D drawing...
Introduction
• Two point perspective is a 3D drawing with a horizon and two vanishing points. By using your drawing equipment you can draw an object (e.g. a building) where it gets smaller as it goes further away from you giving a 3 dimensional effect.
140mm
100mm
Position vertical line roughly 70mm below the horizon and 30mm above the horizon
This line is the front corner of the object you will draw.

RULER
Position ruler at an angle to position set square next to the angled line and slide along

You will need to repeat this dividing process to get a total of 19 gaps. This method will give the impression of the gaps getting smaller as they go into the distance. Take care when using the ruler and set square to draw these lines.

20mm
Mark 20mm points down the first vertical line. Join each point to both vanishing points

Each letter will be 5 spaces high, and 3 spaces wide. The gaps between each letter will be 1 space wide.
