Our teaching staff are qualified, and are experienced in teaching English to students of all ages, so know how to keep everyone engaged. They will also support you in every way possible to ensure you are able to reach your full potential.

Alongside our teachers, we have a great number of support staff. They can assist you with every aspect of life in the UK, from helping you find safe and comfortable accommodation, to helping you settle in.

Staff

While you study with us, you will have access to our bespoke online learning platform, which is an ideal way of studying in your own time to reinforce what you learn during classes.

The various online lessons cover a range of topics and allow you to practise reading, writing and web skills. We also provide all of our students with e-Learning for three months after completing a course with us, so you will be able to continue your language development once you return home.

Twin e-Learning

Our schools in London and Eastbourne offer access to excellent facilities, which you will be able to take advantage of during your stay. These include our bright modern classrooms, comfortable common areas where you can relax with friends, and quiet areas where you are able to study privately.

Modern facilities

All of our schools are accredited by the British Council and inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, and our tuition programme has been designed to provide high quality teaching in an engaging and enjoyable way. This ensures that you are able to develop your skills as much as possible while you are studying with us.

A major focus in lessons is communication, so you’ll get to interact with other students often and build your confidence in speaking English.

We want you to enjoy every aspect of your stay in the UK, which is why our social programme is a key part of your experience with us. Whether you’re studying English, taking part in an internship, or both, we want you to enjoy your free time here just as much as your time in class or at work.

A typical week on our social programme will give you the ideal opportunity to meet other students and go to parties and social events with your new friends. Alongside this, we can help you book visits to famous cities and attractions. You won’t even realise how much you’re practising and improving your English!

On our English courses, all four key skills are covered: reading, writing, speaking and listening, to give you a rounded educational experience. You will also learn grammar, pronunciation, and expand your vocabulary.

In all of our classes there is a strong focus on real-life communication, to help you speak English confidently and clearly. We also encourage as much communication outside of the classroom as possible.

Throughout the course, your progress will be monitored with monthly tests and personalised assessments, so that we can offer extra support in any areas you might struggle with.

At the end of your course, you will receive a Twin Certificate of Achievement and progress report. You will also be able to continue your studies for 3 months via Twin e-learning.

Before you start an English course with us, you will take an online assessment so that we can establish your current level.

The results of your test will make it possible for us to recommend the best course for you, set your personal learning goals, and place you into a class that suits you.

Students will be very close to native speaker fluency, and can use English with ease and confidence

Proficient (CEFR C2/IELTS 7.0/7.5)

Students will be competent with grammar and feel confident contributing to most conversations, but may still make some mistakes with vocabulary

Higher Intermediate (CEFR B2/IELTS 5.0/6.0)

Students can talk about everyday topics confidently but with limited range of style and expression

EastbourneEastbourne is a relaxed, sunny seaside resort offering a safe and peaceful academic learning environment. The town also boasts a number of events such as the largest free international air show in the UK, the AEGON International tennis competition, as well as facilities for sailing, wind-surfing, golf and cycling amongst others.

Eastbourne is also ideally located for visiting famous cities such as Brighton, London and Oxford. London is just one and a half hours away by train, making it easily accessible for a day’s sightseeing.

The school is housed in a traditional 19th century building with a large garden, which is used exclusively by our students for social events and barbeques. We also run a social programme, which offers you the chance to experience the local attractions and night life.

In order to gain a high score in the IELTS exam, students need extensive practice of their English skills, as well as a familiarity with the exam format. This is why we have designed our course to be made up of these key elements:

Career development programmeOur Career Development Programme has been specially tailored to give non-EU students the chance to gain practical work experience by enrolling on our award winning internship programmes, and receive an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Level 4 qualification in Leadership and Management. Your placement will be within the hospitality sector, and you could be working in a pub, hotel, bar or restaurant. There are plenty of options as Twin works with over 500 hospitality businesses in the UK. You will be carefully matched with a position suited to you and your level of English. While on your placement you will receive English tuition via Twin e-Learning, and you will be speaking English every day. This means your skills will be constantly improving.

This programme is perfect for those looking to earn money whilst improving their English skills. The combination of tuition and real-life experience of using English is the best way to boost your language ability.

Hospitality trainingprogramme Give your English language skills a boost whilst gaining valuable experience on a paid work placement of up to one year in the UK hospitality sector. Choosing homestay accommodation is the perfect way of making yourself feel at home while you’re studying with us. Our host families are carefully selected to make sure you’re staying in a safe and comfortable environment. Your host family will be very welcoming, and there will be plenty of opportunities to talk to them, which will encourage you to practise speaking English.
