Parish News New Ministry!

Visitation Ministry takes its mission from Our Lady's service to her cousin, Elizabeth. We want to "go in haste" to the aid of expectant and postpartum mothers in our parish. Ministry members are asked first to pray for the expectant mothers of the parish. Secondly, we hope to provide meals after delivery for the family welcoming a new child.

Every volunteer is asked to pray regularly for the expectant and new mothers of the parish. But, we don't expect every volunteer to sign up for every meal schedule. Our goal is to recruit 35 people into the ministry - only 5% of our registered families! Many hands makes for light work and a doable commitment.

If you can only pray, please join! If you like to cook and food is your love language, sign up! If you hate cooking, but know how to find the frozen lasagna in the grocery store, join us in service!

If you're currently expecting, please email us with your expected due date so we can begin praying for you and add you to our future meal schedule. [email protected] Sarah Laurell 704.612.1502

Well Read Mom Book Club Well Read Mom is a way for women from all walks of life to read high-quality literature together and grow in friendship in the process. We read and discuss one book per month.

Our year together includes great books, spiritual classics, worthy reads, poetry and selected essays. This year we are excited to dive into the theme of "sister" with the help of some excellent authors such as Jane Austen, St Teresa of Avila, and Fyodor Dostoevsky, among others.

Join us in the evening of September 8th for our kickoff meeting! In October we'll meet to discuss Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. For more information contact Sarah Laurell @ 704-612-1502 or sglaurell @gmail.com Check out wellreadmom.com for more information!

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

Hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl

about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.
