Principal’s Report
Science Expo Today Truscott Street held our exciting Science Expo. This exciting opportunity has been made possible through the efforts of Dr Carolyn Gray and Mrs Glendinning and the generosity of some of our talented parents. I would like to thank Mr Gizbar, Mr Spiers, Dr Lee-Waddell and Dr Tran-Dinh for giving up their time for the benefit of our students. Our students had the opportunity learn about microorganisms, polymers, energy transformation, museum bones and sunspots. Play Equipment The play equipment on top grass will be closed from this week as it undergoes a transformation. The P and C has worked hard to secure part funding for this project. Special thanks go to Kristy Anderson and Carolyn Gray for all the work they have put into the application. Enrolments 2017
Enrolments are now being taken for Kindergarten
2017. Children who will be turning 5 years old on or
before 31st July, 2017 are eligible for enrolment. If
you are intending to enrol your child, or know of
children in the local area, who are intending to
enrol at Truscott Street next year, could you please
contact the office for an enrolment form.

Change of time for PSSA Friday 19th August week 5
The PSSA competition will start at 12:00pm on
Friday 19st August as the finals for winter sports will
be played on this day. All teams will be playing
earlier even if they are not in the finals.
Congratulations to the Junior A netball team and
the Senior boys soccer team for making it into the
finals. We wish both teams the best of luck for their
game this Friday. Coaches will send a note home
during the week with details of each teams draw for
the day. Due to the change of time for PSSA
assembly will also be earlier.
Kind regards
Samantha Judge
P&C News
Band News At the start of Term 3 we switched band providers, so our band, percussion and guitar groups are now all provided by Intuition Studios under the leadership of David Thirgood. We were able to keep the music classes at the same times for the remainder of the year but we have moved band practice to Wednesday mornings at 8am. The kids are really enjoying the new conductor and music! David is really big on the kids performing and so we shall be having our annual band evening on Friday 9th September - we hope you can come along and support our lovely band, percussion and guitar groups.
