Wednesday, January 25 Riverside Dinner Theatre

presents

million-dollar quartet

Fredericksburg, VA

Cost: $99 pp Reservations Opened: November 1

This 2010 Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning musical dramatizes the now-famous 1956 impromptu recording session at Sun Record Studio in Memphis during which early rock and roll stars Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis met and jammed “just for fun.” On December 4, Carl Perkins was scheduled to record some songs with a new performer, Jerry Lee Lewis. Unexpectedly, Elvis Presley happens to stop by the studio along with his girlfriend, a singer named Dyanne. Remarkably, Johnny Cash also stops by to meet with recording impresario Sam Philips. The four musicians soon begin talking and singing together. On the outside chance that something great (and lucrative) might come out of the session, Philips flips the switch on the studio recorder—and the rest is rock and roll history. Hit songs include Blue Suede Shoes, Folsom Prison Blues, Great Balls of Fire, Hound Dog, See You Later Alligator, and many others. We will depart Manassas at 9:30 a.m. and Woodbridge at 10:15 a.m. Return time is approximately 5:30 p.m.

between reality and illusion blur. When the world stopped, their stories moved us all. We will depart Manassas at 11:45 a.m. and Woodbridge at 12:30 p.m. Return time is

approximately 5:45 p.m. There is no food stop included.

The city’s location next to a waterpower source, its proximity to working coalfields, and the development of the railroad industry in the 1830's and 1840's, made Richmond the iron and coal center of the South. Iron ore was brought to the city from western Virginia via the James River and Kanawha Canal, which ran past Tredegar. The White House of the Confederacy is located at 1201 East Clay Street. It's a sliver of land filled with quaint waterfront villages, fish boils, a restaurant with goats on the roof and more. In between we have a number of fascinating and beautiful sites for you to see. Our itinerary below will provide the details. This tour includes 6 breakfasts and 6 dinners as well as two lunches. A $100 deposit per person is due with reservation. Stop for ice cream and refreshments on your own on our way to Rowleys Bay. Meet & Greet at the Door County Visitor Bureau then proceed to Rowleys Bay Resort for two nights.
