Zagora Desert Tour 2D1N

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: MARRAKECH - ZAGORA

The tour departs from Marrakech at 8h in a modern, air

conditioned 4x4 or minivan. Travelling over the Atlas

Mountains, enjoying the magnificent views of the surrounding

countryside below and we visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.

This journey takes approx 3hrs.

Lunch in Ait Benhadou in one of the local restaurants. After

lunch we continue along the Drâa valley to reach our

destination of Zagora. After a break in Zagora, we meet our

Camels, who will take us on a 1 hour trek into our desert camp

in Tizi.

Day 2: ZAGORA - MARRAKECH

After a traditional Berber breakfast, you ride the camels to meet

your driver to begin our journey through the Draa valley to

Ouarzazate to visit one of the famous Kasbahs Taourirt Kasbah

and film studios (optional). Later one we will drive back to

Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains, with plenty of stops for

photos and lunch, to Marrakech.

We usually return to Marrakech, arriving between 6pm and 7pm

Mhamid Desert Tour 2D1N

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: MARRAKECH - MHAMID

Start our Marrakech sahara desert tour 2 days to M´hamid, we

drive through the scenic High Atlas mountains (2260m) and its

breathtaking sceneries and throught Draa Valley acrossing the

second pass which is Tizi N’Tnifift at 1710m and , the former

route of caravans for Sahara traders coming from

"Tombouktou”. We will have the opportunity to explore the

biggest palm grove on our way to Zagora. We stop on the way

to visit the underground Kasbah and Koran library of historical

Tamegroute before reaching Mhamid, where you’ll spend the

night in nomad tents at a Berber camp in Erg Lihoudi sand

dunes

Day 2: MHAMID - MARRAKECH

Awake early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a

typical breakfast in the bivouac. Take a camel ride back to our

4WD vehicle in Mhamid where we will drive back through the

Draa valley towards Agdz, discovering the hidden treasures of

the Southern region. The journey continues to ait benhaddou

village, the fortified Ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. We will visit it

and having our lunch in one of local restaurant. In the

afternoon,we drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas

Mountains and reach the red city around 06:00 pm

Merzouga Desert Tour 3D2N

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: MARRAKECH - DADES GORGES

Pick up at 08am from your riad/Hotel in Marrakech and travel

through the High Atlas Mountains via the Ticha Pass (2260 m),

the highest road pass in Morocco. Offering panoramic views of

the High Atlas Mountains and their magnificent landscapes, we

visit several Kasbah along the way - including Tamnougalte and

Ait Benhaddou. The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is a 16th century

UNESCO site - one of the best preserved and most spectacular

Kasbah in Morocco. Scenes from the blockbuster hit movie of

2000 - Gladiator - were filmed in Ait Benhaddou. Lunch in

Ourzazate. Along the way we'll enjoy the landscapes of Berber

villages before arriving to Dades Gorges. Overnight in Dades.

Day 3: ERG CHEBBI MERZOUGA - MARAKECH

Return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and

shower. The remainder of the day is spent driving back to

Ouarzazate where we’ll stop for lunch and visit the old Glaoui

Kasbah Taouirt. Then we cross the High Atlas once more, down

the Tizi nTichka pass. Arrival evening in Marrakech at

approximately 6pm. Marrakech hotel this night optional with an

extra cost.

Day 2: DADES GORGES - MERZOUGA / ERG CHEBBI

After breakfast, we leave to Merzouga; where the highest sand

dunes of Morocco are located. Top Desert team is ready to stop

anywhere you want to take a photo or walk for some time. After 2

hours driving, we'll arrive to the Tafilalet oasis, which is famous

for its dates in Morocco. Passing through small Berber villages,

before arriving the Merzouga / erg Chebbi, where we'll find the

camels waiting for us to explore the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi,

where we'll spend the night in a Berber desert camp with dinner

and Berber local music.

Fes Desert Tour 3D2N

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: MARRAKECH – DADES

We will pick you up at 08am from your Hotel in Marrakech, and

departure to Ait Benhaddou over the mountains of high Atlas

passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), visit

the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and stop for lunch in a local

restaurant. In the Afternoon we will drive to Ouarzazate and stop

near the atlas film studios for a photo then continue to the city

center for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt. After that

you will head to Kalaa M’gouna or Boumalne du Dades for a

night.Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 3: MERZOUGA - FES

Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the

dune in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast. After these

beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel

where you can shower. You will depart to Errachidia via Erfoud,

Aoufous and the valley of Ziz then stopping for a panoramic

view of the oasis of Aoufous in the Tafilalte region. Continuation

to Midelt across the pass of Tizi N’talghamt and have lunch

break. After lunch you will be driven to Fes (the medieval city)

via the Cedar forest near Azrou and the mountain of the middle

Atlas with the possibility to see the Barbary apes (monkies).

You may have a stop in Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco)

before arriving to Fes. Drop off in Fes around 6-7pm.

Day 2: DADES– ERG CHEBBI / MERZOUGA

This morning after breakfast in the hotel, driving towards Tineghir

passing by Boumalne du Dades and stopping for a panoramic

view of dades valley. Later on, we will continue to Todra gorges

via Imider and Tineghir. Stopping along the way for photos and

admiring the views. Arrival to Todra Gorges to enjoy its

marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot.In the afternoon

we continue to Tinejdad and have a break for lunch then to

Erfoud where you will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that

you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these

dunes are called also Merzouga Dunes. Arrive to the hotel and

get ready for a camel trek for an hour and half to enjoy the

sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to

the camp for an overnight in traditional nomad tent. Dinner and

spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes.

Merzouga Desert Tour 4D3N

Tour Itinerary:

beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel

where you can shower. Later on, we will drive back to

Ouarzazate via Rissani, Alnif, N’kob, and Agdz. You will have

time to invetigate the souk of Rissani then drive to Alnif, home of

trilobite. Later we continue to N’kob for lunch. After lunch we

head toward Agdez and stop for a visit of Kasbah of Tamnaugalt

situated on the palm groves of Daraa Valley. Later we will cross

Ait saoun Mountains to reach ouarzazate. Dinner and Overnight

in a Hotel.

Day 2: DADES GORGES - MERZOUGA / ERG CHEBBI

After breakfast, we leave to Merzouga; where the highest sand

dunes of Morocco are located. Top Desert team is ready to stop

anywhere you want to take a photo or walk for some time. After 2

hours driving, we'll arrive to the Tafilalet oasis, which is famous

for its dates in Morocco. Passing through small Berber villages,

before arriving the Merzouga / erg Chebbi, where we'll find the

camels waiting for us to explore the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi,

where we'll spend the night in a Berber desert camp with dinner

Day 4: OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

Today after breakfast in the hotel. You will have time to visit the

kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the atlas film

studios. After that you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and

stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon

we will drive to the kasbah of Telouet and stop for a visit then we

continue to the red city of Marrakech over the mountains of high

Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude).

Arrival to Marrakech and Drop off in your accomodation.

OUZOUD WATERFALLS

Tour Itinerary:

Visit the Ouzoud Waterfalls (Cascades d'Ouzoud), one of the

most surprising attractions in Morocco, on a full-day tour from

Marrakech. Located approximately 90 miles (150 kilometers)

northeast of the city, the falls are close to the Atlas Mountains

village of Tanaghmeilt and take their name from the Berber for

“grinding grain.”

Upon arrival, you will see the river plunge 300 feet (100 meters)

in a complex network of waterfalls that cascade one into

another through 3 major and several minor drops. The

impressive roar soothes the soul like an old lullaby.

The juxtaposition of these verdant falls in a land of red

sandstone, dust and desert will put a spring in your step at the

sheer beauty of nature. The life-giving force of water is

captured in every leaf and exploding flower bud that clings to

the river gorge.

Situated in the province of Azilal, within easy access of

Marrakech, the Cascades are an ideal and popular day trip any

time of year.

IMLIL& ATLAS MOUNTAINS

Tour Itinerary:

Departure from Marrakech early morning 9am, towards the high

Atlas Mountains via Tahaouet (local market on Tuesdays),

Valley Ghighaya, Moulay Brahim gorges, Asni (market on

Saturdays) then between terraced fields of vegetables, fruit

trees walnuts & cherries arrival to imlil 1740m meet the team

guide, muleteer here we shall leave our vehicle to take mules

for around 40 minutes towards the south to the Berber village of

Aroumd (Aremd) (1843m) set in the upper level foothills of the

Western High Atlas mountains, a main trailhead with streams

and paths branching out in all directions to get our lunch which

will be served in a berber house in the village of Aroumd.

Afterwards you can take a short walk before we return to

Marrakech.

ESSAOUIRA

Tour Itinerary:

Take a full-day trip to Essaouira from Marrakech and spend time

in the laid-back fishing town. Leaving Marrakech at 08:00, you

will be transported through the vast and breathtaking Moroccan

landscape, peppered with a few scattered villages, some camels,

sheep, and goats grazing in the countryside.

The trees, and learn about its uses in cooking and cosmetics.

Enther the charming blue and white town of Essaouira to explore

its artistic wonders at leisure. Stroll along the quays and watch

the fishermen unloading their catch of the day, and the brightly-

painted fishing boats coming back to shore. Or enjoy the many

fine restaurants at the port, and dine on freshly caught fish and

seafood.

Explore the historic ramparts, and visit the Medina to see local

artists selling their crafts of Thuya wood. The ramparts will give

you an insight in to how this old seaport village was armed

against the threat of invasion. Marquetry still remains a traditional

specialty of Essaouira, and another beautiful attraction of the

region is its tranquil beach, where you can laze away throughout

the peaceful afternoon. The tour culminates at approximately

19:00, when you will return to Marrakech

AIT BEN HADDOU

Tour Itinerary:

Escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakech for a full-day tour of

the High Atlas Mountains.

Following a pick-up from your hotel, drive towards Ouarzazate,

traveling through the Tizi n' Tichka Pass. Climb to a height of

2,670 meters, and enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-capped

mountains.

Once your reach the summit, begin your descent towards the

Kasbah of Telouet, a palatial former residence of the powerful

rulers of the Glaoui tribe. The Kasbah is also well-known from the

many movies filmed there, such as “Gladiator” and “Lawrence of

Arabia.”

Continue on to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. Travel along the

Ounila Valley, seeing old salt mines and beautiful rivers lined

with many Berber villages.

Explore Ait Ben Haddou, climbing the steep streets for

panoramic views of the surrounding area. It is possible to stop for

lunch in Ait Ben Haddou, or continue to Ouarzazate to enjoy

lunch with a local family in their private home. Get an insight into

the simple yet accommodating life people lead in southern

Morocco.

Transfer back to Marrakech, traveling the mountains pass for up-

close views of the stunning scenery.

SUNSET CAMEL RIDE

Tour Itinerary:

After pick-up from your hotel or riad, travel to the Palmeraie

where you will prepare for your camel ride in the La Palmeraie

oasis. Put on a typical traditional dress and scarf like the locals

and go for a ride among the palm trees.

Along the way, discover traditional Berber villages, see typical

houses of the region, and meet some locals to learn more about

their way of life, which has remained the same for more than

200 years. Stop for a cup of Moroccan tea and enjoy the silence

and serenity before hopping back on your quad bike and

continuing your desert ride. Conclude your tour at the base

camp and relax on the drive back to your Marrakech hotel

OURIKA VALLEY

Tour Itinerary: Experience the beauty of the Ourika Valley up-close on this full-

day private scenic tour from Marrakech, and escape the hustle

and bustle of the city for the day.

The Ourika Valley is the closest day trip from Marrakech, but it’s

not just its convenience that makes it special. Drive towards the

Atlas Mountains, taking in the beautiful landscape of green

meadows and authentic 16th and 17th-century Berber villages.

If you take your tour on a Monday, you can even stop at a

roadside souk.

See fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and villages clinging to

the side of hills. Marvel at the labor undertaken by the Berbers

who hoisted materials to construct small houses up mountain

sides, and work the terraces in a hostile environment.

Continue along the valley of palm trees, following the Ourika

AGAFAY DESERT

Tour Itinerary:

About 40km outside of Marrakech, the landscape slowly changes

from urban to rural farm land until you reach the Agafay desert.

Don’t be misled by its name, this is not a Saharan-style sandy

desert; it is more of a barren, deserted plateau. Stretching for

miles, this semi-lunar terrain is unforgiving in the summer

months, but in the cooler seasons it provides a breath-taking

environment, one that is often over-looked by those wanting to

shuttle between the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech.

Local villages have been driven out by the lack of water, so,

apart from some local shepherds and the odd 4x4, the area is

free for exploration and makes a fantastic camel trekking or

hiking destination. The snow-capped Atlas Mountains form a

stunning backdrop and walking on the seemingly endless plateau

is easy going. Following small river gorges and walking up the

small hills is very pleasurable and accessible, with constant

rewards of far-reaching views.
