THE PROPERTY The sale of Trenoweth Manor provides an increasingly infrequent opportunity to acquire a highly imposing, important, wonderfully private and extensive period house originally constructed we understand in the 1400’s and extended in the 1920’s with the addition of an impressive drawing room and two bedrooms. The property is protected within its extensive gardens and grounds with the considerable and important benefit of two totally self-contained cottages which are believed to be converted from the old stables and are considered eminently suitable for holiday lettings.

By virtue of its very broad south facing orientation, the design of Trenoweth Manor logically ensures that every principal room commands very beautiful views over its delightfully tranquil and landscaped gardens and wooded grounds.

The exterior of the original part of Trenoweth Manor retains its largely maintenance free stone finish featuring numerous tall sash windows under a slate roof with the splendid addition being of white painted render under a slate roof with impressive central bay to the northern side.

The interior boasts rooms of impressive and generous proportions with an abundance of character and fine joinery including parquet flooring and decorative timber panelling to the drawing room, an impressive staircase, fireplaces to most principal rooms, panelled doors, high skirting boards, architraves, picture rails, exposed granite and slate flag stone flooring. Oil fired central heating is installed, served by two boilers, and there is an oil fired Aga in the kitchen for cooking.

The two cottages are situated to the northern side of the property across an area of sheltered lawn and could be utilised to provide income from holiday lettings or, or course provide ancillary accommodation for family members, teenage children or guests etc.

Accessed from the driveway are a number of outbuildings consisting of an open garage with light and power connected, a double garage with two sets of bi-folding doors and large loft storage area over, an additional workshop and gardener’s wc.

Trenoweth Manor benefits from beautiful landscaped gardens along with full width south facing sun terrace and grounds which include 10 enclosed fields, in all extending to about 44 acres.

A distinctly large yet nonetheless manageable, versatile, tucked away near coastal residence along with two cottages in a particularly desirable and unspoilt area of south Cornwall recommended, without hesitation, for earliest viewing by appointment through the vendor’s sole agent.
