About Transformation House

When choosing an event venue in London with a special atmosphere, Transformation House Conference Centre is strategically located in the heart of Clapham close to Clapham Junction Mainline Station.

There are many diverse, beautifully equipped, spacious rooms plus the main

auditorium which make Transformation House Conference Centre one of London’s

most versatile conference and events venues. The selection of suites can accommodate

AGMs, conferences, board meetings, staff training, religious services and gatherings

for between 10 and 2,500 guests.

Building History

The lavish Italian Renaissance style interior was designed by Theodore Komisarjevsky

who exquisitely crafted deeply coffered ceilings and decorative sidewalls with

pillasters, paintings and fibrous plaster details which remain to this day. All the

original raked seating in the upper circle of the auditorium have been retained and

reupholstered to their former glory.

Originally opened by The Duchess of Kent in 1937 as a Granada Theatre, this

Grade II* listed, art deco building has been sympathetically refurbished to the highest

specification. Retaining the splendour of its original, stunning architectural features,

Transformation House has evolved to become a magnificent venue for seminars,

presentations and church meetings.

Function RoomsTransformation House has been re-developed as a prestigious event venue suitable for

hire on a flexible hourly basis, with function rooms in varying sizes for 10, 50, 100 or

more guests; up to the whole building itself which can accommodate 2500 people.

From the moment of arrival you are welcomed by an impressive reception area and

entrance foyer. The space here can be tailored to suit the needs of your event no

matter how many attendees you have.

The function rooms are diverse with the larger areas adaptable in size with sound-

proofed sliding walls to give you the perfect space to accommodate your guests.

The AuditoriumThe auditorium offers a colossal 34,600 square feet of space and has the capacity to

accommodate from 50 to 2,500 visitors. The beautiful upper circle raked seating area

can seat 930 visitors.

The detailing in the ceiling, chandelier lighting and floral columns provide a

spectacular atmosphere for any occasion.

Fitted with a sophisticated air-conditioning system the temperature, air purification

and ventilation are all optimised to provide the best possible environmental conditions

and comfort for large visitor numbers.

6 Amenities

AmenitiesThere are three separate catering areas with highly specified commercial stainless-

steel equipment including refrigeration, ovens and all dish-washing facilities. With

everything to hand that your catering team needs to prepare buffet style food and

warming of pre-cooked meals to very high standards. Professional catering staff can

be made available on request.

There is excellent access for wheelchair users including a lift to and from the first floor,

plus appropriate WC and shower facilities. The new toilet areas also include baby

changing provisions to help visitors with young babies and children feel at home.

IT TechnologyThe venue is equipped with the latest

technology including wifi, highly

specified audio and video conference

hardware. To get the most from the

available equipment there are highly

skilled, creative audio-visual, IT support

teams on-hand to help you. The

conference centre combines style and

professionalism to create the perfect

Event Support ServicesProfessional catering teams can be arranged on your behalf to prepare and serve

food for your event. From planning a menu, to dressing the venue, to cook and serve

delicious food to your guests and also do all the clearing up afterwards.

To ensure the utmost public safety and meet all regulatory requirements we provide

fully trained staff and security personnel to cater for any number of attendees.

First aid facilities are provided along with access to a GP to be in attendance should

one be required at events with large numbers of people.
