Nalanda College of Engineering, Chandiis one among the best Government Engineering College established in 2008 by the Government of Bihar under Department of Science and technology. Institute is located in a place which is historically so sound in terms of imparting education at international level i.e. Nalanda; a place of world's first university giving students a hereditary essence of world-class ancestral education. This place is located 50km from Patna with well-connected transport modes.The college campus that spread across 51 acres have an academic cum administrative block with well-equipped labs, a student library, separate hostels for boys and girls, open field playground and a canteen. The institute has been set up with an objective of quality technical education while sensitizing students towards the research fields and needs of the society through making aware of entrepreneurship. The rigorous and updated curriculum seeks to instil a passion for technical knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge in practical world needs by keeping sustainable development in mind.
Since its inception NCE, Chandi has the vision to provide
quality technical education and to act as a centre of
excellence for engineering and scientific research. Today
NCE Chandi isconsidered the national brand and in attaining
this position a major contribution has come from our faculties
and staffs as well as our students and the Alumni. NCE,
Chandi is now considered as one of the best institutes in Bihar
in terms of quality teaching, infrastructure and overall
performance. Our study programs here at NCE, Chandi are
designed to instil leadership, teamwork and global focus
among learners. The undergraduate programs are
continuously and closely monitored and regularly revised to
include the latest trend-setting technologies theories and
practices. We will continue to work towards our vision of
chiselling the best engineers in our country. We commit
ourselves to work for a better future and we hope to keep
earning numerous honours and accolades from the whole
nation of our march towards the zenith. So, I cordially invite
organization and corporations to come and test the skills of
the young pool of talents and develop a long lasting bond

• TEQIP III The Project, Third phase of Technical Education
Quality Improvement Program (referred to as TEQIP III)is fully integrated with the Twelfth Five-year plan objectives for Technical Education as a key component for improving the quality of Engineering Education in existing institutions with a special consideration for low Income States an Special Category States (SCS)and support to strengthen few affiliated to technical universities to improve their policy, academic, and management practices.
• IIT Bombay
Under TEQIP III, IIT Bombay is mentoring our institute at various stages. Twinning arrangements with the institute provides an opportunities to learn and experiment the work culture of such reputed institutes in our campus.
Following work has been done under twinning program between IIT BOMBAY and NCE, Chandi). Formation of short-term and long-term action plan for NCE, Chandi in consultation with Prof. Dr. V.M. Gadre of Department of Electrical Engineering IIT Bombay.
16 students and 4 faculty members of NCE, Chandi went to IIT BOMBAY in summer vacation (June 2019) for summer training.
17 students and 5 faculty members attended pedagogical activity workshop in October 2019.
18 students and 3 faculty members attended Make in India workshop in March 2019.
