Review of job status of 33 female students of VNU 1 month after graduation
Criteria for assessment Twenty six students were selected to continue the review.
They are divided into three groups based on following criteria:• Employment status: Employed students and Unemployed students• Grade Point Average throughout four study years: Low-GPA students and high-GPA students • Volunteering/unofficial activities participation: Dynamic students and undynamic students
The review also considers :- Group characteristics- Connection/correlation between:
• GPA and official event participation• GPA and current employment status• Current employment status and official event participation are reviewed as well.

On average, 42 % of the total female students in the study successfully get a job.
Both high-GPA students and dynamic students in volunteering/unofficial activities participation are the most successful in finding job with the percentage of 50%.
Low-GPA and undynamic students are least successful in finding job with percentage of 36% and 38% respectively.

In the pool of high GPA students, the students, who participate more in official event, are more successful in getting a job.
Conclusions• It is clear that active participation in unofficial activities (training and
skill development/networking) and volunteer opportunities has an impact on successful job application.
•Active participation in other training and skill development activities also have an impacts on high academic performance.
•Students that have to work for extra incomes to support living have lower academic performance and participation of the project activities, ultimately affecting their chances of getting a job after graduation.
Recommendations • Increasing support for skill trainings and activities for
students, students should recognize the value of actual knowledge and skills for future careers – not just academic performance.• Increasing networking with employers, volunteer,
and intern opportunities (students must recognize the importance of these activities’ impacts on their future jobs/careers).
