Servicers who defeat safety features or fail to perform safety checks may be liable for any resulting damages and may expose themselves and others to possible injury.

Application: The information contained in this bulletin applies only if you encounter the

symptom(s) listed below. Symptom: Intermittent loss of audio using certain cable converters, satellite receivers or

set top boxes connected using HDMI. Cause: Incompatibility between the TV and the HDMI accessory devices. Solution: Upgrade firmware to version 18 or above. This firmware may be updated by

the consumer and requires no service intervention. The firmware consisting of an SD Media card with firmware programmed to the card may be acquired using Part Number 2008BSEN018.
