Since the first-ever Michelin Guide Taipei was published in 2018, international as well as local foodies have been attracted to Taipei by its splendid food culture.

In the autumn, the Guandu and Beitou areas burst with activity. The Taipei International Birdwatching Fair provide wonderful get-intimate-with-nature opportunities. Fun Guandu and Taipei Hot Spring Festival incorporate the lives of local citizens. The Guandu International Nature Art Festival and Nuit Blanche Taipei are beloved by aesthetes. And among the many big wintertime happenings are the Taipei Marathon, Christmas Festival, New Year’s Eve Countdown Party, Lunar New Year Festival, and Taipei Lantern Festival, igniting the city’s passions and warm vitality and infusing the year’s ending with great color.

Among the list, the Cantonese restaurant Le Palais has garnered Michelin’s coveted 3-star glory two years in a row, and the Chinese restaurant The Guest House, Japanese restaurant RyuGin, as well as the incessantly innovative RAW and Taïrroir have all been bestowed with stars. In addition, the Bib Gourmand list includes several dozen street food restaurants, from the renowned stinky tofu and xiaolongbao to Muslims' favorite beef noodles, cold noodles and "heibai qie" (assorted sliced foods, precooked and served chilled), all of which are authentic Taiwanese flavors that make up Taipei people's daily diet.
