 WHAT  IS  MULTIPLE  SCLEROSIS?  Multiple  sclerosis  (MS)  interrupts  the  flow  of  information  from  the  brain  to  the  body  and  stops  people  from  moving.  MS  is  an  unpredictable,  often  disabling  disease  of  the  central  nervous  system.  Symptoms  range  from  numbness  and  tingling  to  blindness  and  paralysis.  The  progress  and  severity  cannot  yet  be  predicted.  While  research  has  brought  better  therapies,  there  is  no  cure.    NATIONAL  MS  SOCIETY  Since  its  founding  in  1946,  the  National  MS  Society  is  the  leader  in  the  fight  against  MS  with  more  MS  research,  services  for  people  with  MS,  professional  educational  programs,  and  advocacy  efforts  than  any  other  MS  organization  in  the  world.  The  Oregon  Chapter  serves  over  8,100  individuals  with  MS  in  Oregon  and  SW  Washington.  Since  1964,  we’ve  dedicated  ourselves  to  move  toward  a  world  free  of  MS.      WHY  ARE  CORPORATE  PARTNERSHIPS  IMPORTANT?  The  Society  believes  that  moving  is  not  just  something  you  can  or  can’t  do,  but  is  who  you  are.  This  is  why  we  need  companies  like  yours  to  support  Pink  Martini  Wears  Orange—to  raise  funds  that  drive  research,  inspire  change  through  advocacy,  and  provide  programs  and  services  for  a  growing  number  of  people  living  with  MS.        MS  research  and  programs  are  expensive,  but  community-­‐supported  events  such  as  this  enable  us  to  generate  a  significant  amount  of  funding  by  engaging  the  community  in  a  successful  and  inspiring  way    to  end  MS  forever.        Benefits  for  all  sponsorship  levels  are  far-­‐reaching  and  include:  media  exposure,  name  recognition,  onsite  event  branding,  and  employee  engagement  opportunities.    BONUS:  For  added  benefits,  consider  sponsoring  Gala  MS  2015.  Email  Lisa.Roth@nmss.org  for  details.
