Parties on the iconic Flagler Beach pier have become some of our community’s most popular and well-attended social gather-ings. Last year, the Flagler County Chamber and its Flagler Beach Area Council hosted a party on the pier, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” that brought 300 guests together for food, fun, drinks, live music and networking. It was a wildly suc-cessful get together that inspired the Chamber’s Flagler Beach Area Council to make annual “pier parties” a summer tradition for businesses, residents and visitors
alike.“Peers on the Pier,” a Flagler
Beach Block Party and Business After Hours like none other, is scheduled for Thursday, July 23 starting at 5:30PM. The event will pay tribute to businesses that help make Flagler Beach one of Florida’s favorite seaside towns. Participat-ing chamber members will “set up shop” on the pier that evening to showcase their goods and services, while offering giveaways and spe-cials for guests. Your $5 entry fee will get you get you two drink tick-ets and appetizers while supplies
last, plus a great crowd, raffles, 50/50 and the Pot o' Gold drawing at 7PM.
This event is guaranteed to be a sell-out. Avoid the lines by prereg-istering online at http://business.flaglerchamber.org/events/details/july-peers-on-the-pier-block-party-flagler-beach-6605 o r c a l l i n g t h e C h a m b e r a t 437-0106.
We hope you will join the Flagler County Chamber and the Flagler Beach Area Council for the party of the summer, “Peers on the Pier,” July 23rd.
Celebrate Summer with the Chamber’s “Peers on the Pier” Event
Nothing brings people together like FOOD! The Flagler County Chamber is celebrating Fla-gler County’s most treasured restaurants that are ready to dish up delicious food at fantastic prices for Flagler Restaurant Week. The weeklong celebration will run from September 10 - 18, giving locals and visitors the great opportunity to try a selection of Flagler’s irresistible, award-winning dining options.
Flagler Restaurant Week is a win/win for the entire community, helping stimulate our economy by supporting our local restaurants and motivating the public to dine out and enjoy the culinary diversity our community has to offer.
There are no tickets to purchase for Flagler Restaurant Week. Simply dine at the participating restaurants during the week and receive discounts and specialty menu options. Diners will receive
a complimentary Flagler Dining Passport to have stamped at every participating restaurant they visit. Those who visit all restaurants will turn in their completed passports for a chance to be crowned “The Ultimate Flagler Foodie”. Guests will also vote online for their favor-ites at www.flaglerrestaurantweek.com. Restaurant winners will receive awards and bragging rights for the year!
Flagler Restaurant Week will officially begin with a kick-off party September 10 from 5:30 – 7:30PM at Marineland Dolphin Adventure.
The kickoff party gives restaurants the opportunity to woo diners to their restaurants and will include cocktails, samplings from par-ticipating restaurants and raffles. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
The Chamber is currently sign-ing up participating restaurants for Flagler Restaurant Week. Applica-tions are available at the Chamber or by contacting Event Director Jaclyn Miklos at 386-206-0955. If you own, operate or work in a res-taurant, please consider becoming part of this year’s culinary celebra-tion! Please encourage your favorite eatery to do so as well.

the organization’s events and programs.
Jaclyn joins the Chamber with five years of experience in events and public relations, most

Earlier this month, the Flagler Chamber announced that the orga-nization’s quarterly business and professional magazine, Thrive, is now available as a downloadable app for Android, Windows and Apple devices.
The digital version of Thrive is being introduced in the publication’s second year of operation, based on positive feedback received by the Chamber and its contributing partners. Thrive has emerged as a leading quarterly busi-ness magazine produced for Flagler County with distribution that includes 6,000 physical copies.
According to Chamber President and CEO Rebecca DeLorenzo, making the popular magazine available as a downloadable app is part of the orga-nization’s ongoing efforts to expand its digital presence.
“It’s no surprise that technology has changed and will continue to change the way we consume content everyday,” said DeLorenzo. “Nearly 60 percent of American adults prefer accessing online content using a phone or mobile device. The Thrive app allows us to deliver information to our readers, partners and subscrib-ers when they need it in a fast, reliable mobile format.”
DeLorenzo added that the app gives Thrive’s advertising partners a signifi-cant advantage by offering them live links to bring readers directly to their websites.
Content for each issue of Thrive is developed through an Editorial Advisory Committee consisting of Chamber staff and representatives
from the Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity, Career-Source Flagler Volusia, the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center, Flagler County School District and SCORE Chapter 87. While themes change from issue to issue, each issue con-tains feature stories, event listings, business profiles, news and tips to help business owners become more successful.
In addition to advertising in the print version, sponsorship oppor-tunities are available for the digital app. For those interested, contact AdAchieve Media, a Holley Group company at 386-283-5984. For more information about Thrive, please visit www.flaglerchamber.org/pages/thrive%20magazine or call the Cham-ber at 386.437.0106.
