Lets start with the home. Located out Maples Road it’s in the middle of farm country; the local CSA farm is just down the road, as are several artists studios. It feels like the middle of nowhere but is only fifteen minutes from skiing, golf, and downtown Ellicottville. Furthermore, cross country skiing, hunting, and fishing are right in your backyard. The house is a classic rambling farm home. The downstairs features a formal living room with a stone fireplace, a parlor, large kitchen and formal dining room. The home is currently a working B&B, and the downstairs has full living quarters, with a separate entrance for the proprietors. The four guest bedrooms are upstairs, as well as three baths for the guests. Also upstairs is a private living quarter with its own living, bedroom, bath and kitchen. It could be rented out as an apartment. Then there is the land; over 250 acres of mostly cleared property surround the house Across the road 50 acres are currently leased to a farmer for growing corn. The area could easily be developed. Around the back of the house is a large barn with horse stalls. Horseback riding, snowmobiling, hiking, snowshoeing are all available on the property. The Mansfield area is known for its fine trout fishing, and the public fishing spot is just down the road. This is a rare find in a well established farming and recreational area. For more information about this property contact Carol Thomas, Associate Real Estate Broker at Team VP ERA Real Estate 716-698-0115. This classic farm home serves as a Bed and Breakfast. It sits on over 250 acres of land. All the guest rooms are decorated in Victorian charm. The large well equipped kitchen is accessible to the guests and the residents. The living room has a large wood burning fireplace, and is the gathering place for the B&B guests

Harlem Dance TheatreRegional Debut at Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center

Bradford, Pa. – March 2, 2012. The Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center presents the Dance Theatre of Harlem at 7:30 p.m. Mar. 16 in the Bromeley Family Theater in Pitt-Bradford’s Blaisdell Hall, BCPAC President Shane Oschman announced today.

The Dance Theatre of Harlem is one of the leading dance institutions in America, one with great global acclaim. Founded in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook, the ensemble was meant to inspire children – especially those from Harlem – to discover

dance and the allied arts. “This troupe of artists has been inspiring two generations of young people,” Oschman said, “and now they’re coming to Bradford to inspire us. Their repertoire is both wide and deep, covering classic ballet through to the syncopations of Scott Joplin and on to James Brown, even some vogueing and hip hop.” Tickets are now available by calling or visiting the BCPAC office at 10 Marilyn Horne Way from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and online at bcpac.com. Student rush tickets, if available, will sell for half-price an hour before the show at the Bromeley Family Theater box office. BAHS student rush tickets are free.

Women Create ExhibitVisit the Women Create Exhibit in Downtown Jamestown

Jamestown, NY – When you’re enjoying St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Jamestown this Saturday [March 10], be sure to visit the Women Create exhibit at the 3rd on 3rd Gallery. “While we don’t have regular weekend hours,” noted Arts Council for Chautauqua County Program Coordinator Len Barry, “with all the activity downtown this Saturday we wanted to give everyone the chance to see this wonderful exhibit.” Barry added that this is a special opportunity, as two of the participating artists will be

present. From 9 am until 1 pm painter Toni Kelly from Erie, Pennsylvania, will be in the gallery. Fredonia artist Jill Johnston will welcome visitors from 1-4 pm. Kelly’s acrylic and collage work of a rooster, “A Winged Heart,” is on display, and Johnston is showing “Red Garden 5,” a mixed media print. These are two of the 41 area women artists whose work is being shown at 116 East Third Street, next to the Reg Lenna Civic Center in downtown Jamestown. There is no charge for the

exhibit, but donations are gratefully accepted. Women Create is presented in cooperation with the Arts Council for Chautauqua County. Regular hours are 10 am-4 pm, Monday-Friday until the closing reception on Saturday, March 31. For viewing by appointment, contact Barry at (716) 664-2465, ext. 227. Events are also planned from morning to evening on SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day, Saturday, March 31. For details on all these programs, visit http://womencreate.wordpress.com/.

Whatever Floats Your BoatWhy Not Upgrade?

Welcome to Ellicottville! When some folks hear the term “March Madness”, they think of college basketball. Around here, March Madness is Mardi Gras and Canadian Spring Break. Also this time of year, Cruise ships are filling up with passengers and most of them are the big mega liners that have been getting bigger all the time. These super liners certainly offer countless opportunities to have fun and Because the competition is so stiff to bring costs down, in some cases, cruise rates are actually lower now than They were 15 Years ago. The basics are of course included, but more and more options are being offered that come with a price tag while you are onboard. You can definitely enjoy yourself in the main dining room instead of a specialty restaurant, drink a regular cup of coffee instead of Starbucks, skip that second martini before dinner, or opt to not partake in any excursions in the ports, but heck, what fun is that? So, we end up paying a very reasonable price before we board, but then come home to a Visa bill that almost seems to match what we paid for the cruise after all the “extras” many people assume are included. More than 10 million

passengers took a cruise in 2011, and the majority of them cruised on the cruise lines you may be most familiar with.... Royal Caribbean, Princess, Holland America, and Carnival to name several. These cruise lines offer all the basics but also countless opportunities to splurge onboard to make the experience even better and enjoyable. Nothing at all against this, in my opinion, but if you ‘re going to spend the extra money anyway, why not get as much bang for your buck as possible and usually for a little bit more, bump to the next level in cabins. If you’re booking a balcony, why not go for a smaller suite? The perks included can sometimes make up for the difference in price Now, here is where it not only gets more fun, but actually cost effective. By booking on one of the luxury cruise lines, such as Crystal, Seabourn, or Regent, (and perks can vary from one to the other), the initial price may seem significantly more than Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, or Princess. In actuality, the least expensive category on one of these luxury lines will still get you a balcony. Once onboard these smaller, more intimate ships, the difference is immediately apparent. Gourmet meals usually offered at an additional cost...included.

Specialty coffees...included. Sodas...included. All wines and beers...included. wWant a Grey Goose martini? How about another one...included. Fully stocked mini bar in your cabin...included.All tips and gratuities...included. All shore excursions...included. Round trip air fare from a gateway city...included. One night pre-cruise hotel...included. Transfers--- airport, hotel, ship and back again...included. A three page bill slipped under your door on the last morning...NOT included. Ultimately, you end up paying the same, but the experience is like night and day. Itineraries are exclusive, and they offer smaller more unique ports rather than masses of people from 5 other ships docked the same day. The service staff are paid better, so they attract a higher quality of employee who is well trained and understands the idea of “the customer comes first”. You will not miss the endless announcements for Bingo, jewelry sales, or art auctions. Even your accommodations will feel more sumptuous like Bvlgari toiletries, separate bathtub, twin sinks, thick robes, countertops made from marble, plush carpets and furniture you actually want to sit on.
