The third day of my stay in Texas, we made
a trip to Fort-Worth.
I had no idea, what was on there.
Nearby Fort-Worth we stopped, becouse
someone would buy something in a shop.
And then I saw my first cowboys...., life !!
Very strange to see with the high buildings
in the background. Old and new together.
We parked the cars in the touristic area of the town, on the ground of the very big
horse stables, where in the first World-
war the horses were breeded for the over
sea battlefields, to be slaughtered in
great honour. They were not asked
for there permission.
But indeed, later the horses received a
bronze plaquette, placed in Washington!!
After paying a visit to the stables, we
walked along the street and saw how the
cowboys usually played in their spare
time with whip and lasso.
It was a funny thought to see, how they
were playing like little boys.
We got hungry and found a Mexican
restaurant. We got a nice place at
the varanda and had a wonderful
view of the street, while having
dinner.
The food was
delicious.
Look at
this face.
After dinner we had time to watch
the cowboys and to take pictures of them.
They were sitting on real horses and wore
real big hats on their heads.
In the afternoon they drove the bulls with
the long horns from the corrals to the
arena.
There it was possible to join in the game
“Bull-riding “
How
sweet
it is.
Then the cowboys on the steel horses.
They didn’t wear big hats not even a
helmet.
Maybe they hadn’t the need to protect
their heads and brains.
Big arms
with
tattoo,
and a girl.
Inside the restaurant was a corner
with Mexican clothes.
You could put them on for making
fun pictures.
And so we did.
Not a sharp
picture ,
I know.
That was impossible
with so many
roundings.
After it had darkened, we were still
wandering through the Stockyards
and wondering about what was going on.
It looked to be an old Western city.
But instead of fastened horses, we only saw
big motor cycles in front of the saloons.
Before we went home, my son
offered us a dinner in a chinese
restaurant.
After all, it was his birthday.
We excepted with great pleasure.
This was the first trip of myholiday in Texas.I like to see other cultures andcan really enjoy it.I am making Power-Pointpresentations of all my furthertrips. So, to the next one, buy !!
