Ukraine Mission Team Update: Please keep the mission team in your prayers as they

prepare to travel to Ukraine and abroad.

They depart on December 22, 2017 and will return January 6, 2018.

Thank you to St. Paul UMC for making our American Red Cross Blood Drive this past Sunday a bloody success. We maintained the spirit of giving during this Christmas Season by giving 36 usable units of blood which will supply lifesaving blood products for up to 108 needy patients in the Valley area! Thanks go to: Kathy Hollon, Tim Sawyer, Mark Graham, Kathryn Roberts, Ken Chung, Mark Ellis, Amber Van Bibber, Amanda Barbaree, Eric Kilgore (Double Reds), Jose Ruiz (Double Reds), Thomas Forsberg, Will Cliatt, Al Gaston, Joy Sloan, Tonya Badcock, Rodney Faircloth (Double Reds), Charlie Jarrell, Timm McGonegle, Wade Burford, Sheron Williams, Lloyd Pease, Randilynn Cornavaca, Guillermo Cornavaca, Karon Henderson (Double Reds), John Boyd, Kathryn Mansfield, Mo Magoni, Paul Magoni, Doug McLeod, Jimmy Holman, Beth Holman, Judith Wickham, Everett Bailey (Double Reds), Rian Ory, John Claridy, Dee Dee Tebeau, John Schley, Craig Rockenstein, Scarlett Cross, and Dr. A.C. Ula.

Thanks again and look for your next opportunity to help save a life at our next Red Cross Blood Drive in February, 2018.

Rose Hill Ministry needs your help! As seen in the information for "Advent Gives," St. Paul will be hosting a Christmas Dinner on Tuesday, December 19, for the ministry at Rose Hill. Several of you have volunteered to help serve and we thank you. If you were not able to sign up to serve the dinner, we still need your help in two very important ways! 1. Bring in warm blankets or warm clothes to be handed out that evening to the 250 people who attend the dinner. You'll find two metal hampers around the church to drop off the items. 2. Bring in cookies, pies, cakes, and any other desserts for the dinner. You may drop them off at the church on either Monday, 12/18 (all day) or Tuesday, 12/19 (before noon).

Winter is approaching and there is an increasing demand for warm winter clothing for men and women, men's working clothes, especially long-sleeved shirts, and shoes/boots. Our clothing bank at Rose Hill serves approximately 75 to 100 people every Wednesday, giving out clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene products. Take a few moments to look through your closet, and if you have anything you want to donate, please drop items off in the bin located by the Miller-Wilson room.

Thank you for sharing God's love. Please contact Joe Morrow ([email protected]) or the Church Office (706-327-7419) with any questions.

Updates from Wynnton Neighborhood Network

November was very busy for the pantry with our Thanksgiving giveaway, of course. We served 2008 bags of food to 514 families containing 1248 individuals including 521 children. During the two days of the Thanksgiving giveaway alone, we served 247 families with the normal food distribution plus an extra bag of holiday food and a turkey. It’s not a record for us for November, but it was still a very busy month. Our utilities volunteers were quite busy as well. They helped 50 families keep their power on, spending $3558.51. Many thanks to all the congregations and their generous donations, but especially to Wynnton UMC, whose month it was to provide food donations, and to Shearith Israel Synagogue for hosting the Unity Service. We have the most wonderful support from all of our congregations! God bless you all!

The Church Office will close at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, for the Staff

Christmas Party, off campus.

We will not mail bulletins for the Sundays of December 24 and December 31, 2017.

For St. Paul updates, visit our website at spumccolumbus.com or use the mobile app.
