C&J Catering has partnered with Central Pennsylvania’s award winning landmark reception site, The Peter Allen House and

together we will help you plan your timeless wedding!

The Peter Allen House. Since opening as a wedding venue, over 500 discriminating brides have found the perfect

place to hold their wedding and reception. The reader’s of Harrisburg Magazine have awarded The Peter Allen House with

the Reader’s Choice award as the best reception site in their “Simply the Best” contest for 11 years since 2002. The Peter Allen

House is the oldest home in Dauphin County, dating to 1726. This elegant, 5,000 square foot mountain stone landmark is

situated in Clark’s Valley on mostly wooded acres and is surrounded by several semi-formal outdoor garden rooms. Originally

it served as the elegant host and signature training post for migrating settlers of the colonial, pre-Revolutionary western fron-

tier. Throughout most of the 19th Century, The Peter Allen House served as an inn, tavern and hotel. It was a welcome stop

on what was then known as the Sunbury Turnpike. The grounds of The Peter Allen House boast handsome outdoor struc-

tures, including a magnificent carriage house and a two story stone stable. Its beautifully-landscaped gardens cater to the dis-

criminating tastes and a variety of occasions.

C&J Catering debuted in 2004 as personal chefs for hire setting out to expose a small group of clientele to their amazing

passion for great food. Word quickly spread about the quality food and flexibility in menu planning and its owner reacted to

the increased demand for larger catering services. In 2006, C&J Catering moved to its first humble location in downtown Me-

chanicsburg, PA. In 2010, it relocated to a 7000 square foot facility Harrisburg, PA. C&J Catering’s reputation as one of

Central Pennsylvania’s finest caterers comes from the most talented, dedicated and hardworking staff who work countless

Complete Dinner Packages The following outlines what is included in all of our dinner packages. On the following pages you will

have the option of selecting which dinner package is best for you. Keep in mind that the pricing listed for the dinner packages includes all of the following, including tips and gratuities.

Service Staff

All of our service staff will be dressed in black dress

shirts and black pants. You will have one lead server

and the appropriate number of service personnel

attending to your guests based on your final head

count. Our service staff will set-up and breakdown

everything needed for your reception including linen

placement, china and flatware on guest tables,

buffet, bar, gift, and DJ tables so you don't have to

worry about a thing.

Cake Cutting

You are welcome to work with the bakery

of your choice for your wedding cake and/

or dessert selections. Following your cake

cutting, our staff will slice and serve your

guests. A dessert plate and dessert fork

are included in your rental package.

Champagne Toast

Our service staff will chill and pour your champagne

for your champagne toast. Complimentary champagne

glasses are provided for toasting purposes.

Covered in your $500.00 planning fee are 2-3 meetings with a

catering coordinator as well as a final walk-through prior to

your wedding day. In addition you will have access to a

catering coordinator to answer questions, give guidance and

expertise. A tasting of your selected menu is also included for

the bride and groom. We also assist you with preparation of

your wedding day timeline and preparation of Reception Floor

Plans. We will also help you coordinate your other wedding

vendors to ensure a smooth flow on your wedding day as

needed. A catering coordinator will be on-site throughout

your wedding day.

Catering Coordination

Ceremony & Cocktail Hour

You will have white folding chairs set-up for your

wedding ceremony . We will also provide a table and

linen as well as complimentary lemonade and water,

cocktail napkins and cups.

Your Cocktail Hour will include four high-top cocktail

tables, bar and appetizer station tables as well as some

casual patio seating for guests. All table linens and

standard décor for the appetizer table is included.

Wrought iron bistro tables and garden chairs are also

included.

Basic Beer & Wine Beverage Service

Under PA Laws, the client is required to purchase all alcoholic beverages and provide them to the caterer. We will provide all stemware, sodas (regular, diet & caffeine free), bottled water, corkscrews, ice and Liquor Liability Insurance. Liquor Liability Insurance is required by the Peter Allen House. Included in

your package pricing is one RAMP certified bartender who will serve your guests. The included bartending charges cover seven hours of service which includes one hour for set-up and one hour for break down of your bar. At the conclusion of your event, all remaining alcohol will be left for the client to remove from

the premises. **You may add an additional bartender and a mixer package for an additional fee.**

Cocktail Hour Selections

We recommend a 45 minute to 1 hour cocktail reception. This time allows the newly married

couple to take pictures immediately following the ceremony. All of our dinner packages

include one station and two passed appetizers from our standard menu (please note any

higher priced items with additional costs).

CHEF’S PASTA STATION – Guests will enjoy personal chef service including their choice of grilled chicken or

Italian sausage medallions. They will also choose their pasta and sauce including marinara, vodka or alfredo. Artisan rolls

and whipped butter available at this station. Prepared right before them and served on a 7” plate, easy to eat.

CHEF’S CARVING STATION – Another personal chef experience with fresh roasted top round of beef, turkey

breast and honey ham. Served with rolls, gravy, horseradish, mustard, mayonnaise and au jus. A chaffer of rosemary

roasted red potatoes will be placed at this station.

LETTUCE WRAP STATION – Crispy butter lettuce cups served with your choice of five spice beef, buffalo chick-

en and garlic tobasco baby shrimp. Wrap station condiments include julienne cucumbers, carrots & scallions, Chopped pea-

nuts, celery, cilantro, mint, bleu cheese sauce and limes.

CALIFORNIA FRESH STATION - Enjoy a beautifully displayed marinated & grilled vegetables including portabel-

la mushrooms, red, green & yellow peppers, eggplant & zucchini. A Display of fresh crudite with dipping sauces are includ-

ed in this station. Our signature Artichoke Dip and garlic toast is the perfect accompaniment to round out this station.

Bartender & Beverage Packages

Basic Bar Package $3.50 Per Person

Under PA Laws, the client is required to purchase all alcoholic beverages and provide them to the

Peter Allen House. (This package is included in your Dinner Package Pricing)

Bartending Services $35.00 per hour

A RAMP certified bartender will serve your guests. All bartending fees are charged per hour and

will include one hour to set-up and one hour for tear-down. At the conclusion of your event, all

remaining alcohol will be left for the client to pick-up and remove from the premises.

(One Bartender is included in your dinner package pricing). We recommend adding an additional

bartender for guest counts over 125 guests.

Mixer Package $2.75 per person

To include lemons, limes, cherries, olives, tonic and soda waters, ginger ale, tomato juice, cran-

berry juice, orange juice and pineapple juice.

Non-Alcoholic Beverage Package $5.25 per person

We will provide fruit Punch with floating fresh fruit during cocktail hour, and will add Assorted

Sodas and Bottled Water to be served during your reception. Ice, plastic cups, Napkins and an

attendant to serve guests is included.

Signature Drinks **Call for Pricing**

We can work with you to help create a signature drink for your special event. This fee includes

all necessary specialty mixers and stemware. A server will tray-pass your signature beverage.

Menu Selections $31.95 All Inclusive

ON A BUDGET….TRY THIS PACKAGE The following outlines what is included in the BUDGET dinner package. All other dinner packages listed in this

guide include the dinner service package items listed on page 5 Keep in mind that the pricing listed for the dinner packages includes all of the following, including tips and

gratuities.

Cocktail Hour: An attractive Domestic Cheese & Fruit Display and one (1) butlered standard appetizer Dinner Menu: One Chicken Entrée Selection Rather than renting china service, we will substitute upscale plastic ware. Scalloped, Mashed or Roasted Potatoes Guest tables will have a linen tablecloth only. All silver reflections Green Beans flatware and plastic plates will be located on the buffet table. Linens and Garden Salad with Dressing plastic ware charges are included in the rental charges listed at the bottom Rolls & Butter of page 13.

Service Staff

All of our service staff will be dressed in Black Dress

shirts and black pants. You will have one lead server

and the appropriate number of service personnel

attending to your guests based on your final head

count. Our service staff will set-up and breakdown

everything needed for your reception including linen

placement, china and flatware on guest tables,

buffet, bar, gift, and DJ tables so you don't have to

worry about a thing.

Cake Cutting

You are welcome to work with the bakery

of your choice for your wedding cake

and/or dessert selections. Following your

cake cutting, our staff will slice and serve

your guests. A plastic dessert plate and

dessert fork are included in your rental

package

Covered in your $500.00 planning fee are 2-3 meetings with a

catering coordinator as well as a final walk-through prior to

your wedding day. In addition you will have access to a

catering coordinator to answer questions, give guidance and

expertise. A tasting of your selected menu is also included

for the bride and groom. We also assist you with preparation

of your wedding day timeline and preparation of Reception

Floor Plans. We will also help you coordinate your other

wedding vendors to ensure a smooth flow on your wedding

day as needed. A catering coordinator will be on-site

throughout your wedding day.

Catering Coordination

Ceremony & Cocktail Hour

You will have white folding chairs set up for your

wedding ceremony .

Your Cocktail Hour will include bar and appetizer station

tables . All table linens and standard décor for the

appetizer tables is included. Wrought iron bistro tables

and garden chairs are also included.

Basic Beer & Wine Beverage Service

Under PA Laws, the client is required to purchase all alcoholic beverages and provide them to the caterer. We will provide all plastic ware, sodas (regular, diet & caffeine free), bottled water, corkscrews, ice and

Liquor Liability Insurance. Liquor Liability insurance is required by the Peter Allen House. Included in your package pricing is one RAMP certified bartender whop will serve your guests. The included bartending

charged cover eight hours of service which includes one hour for set-up and one hour for break down of your bar. At the conclusion of your event, all remaining alcohol will be left for the client to remove from

the premises. **You may add an additional bartender and a mixer package for an additional fee.**
