Throughout Kevin's professional career he has managed various business units of one of the largest construcon companies in South Africa, owned a Road Surfacing Company which was later sold to a listed company before moving into dispute resoluon and claims consulng. Kevin completed the Fellowship of Arbitrators Qualificaon and currently specialises in large scale Construcon Claims and Dispute Resoluon. Over the last 10 years Kevin has been involved as Mediator, Adjudicator, Arbitrator and expert witness on approximately 60 dispute maers. He is presently appointed on Dispute Adjudicaon Boards (DAB) in South Africa and Africa in numerous maers. Kevin is an admied member of the FIDIC President's List of Adjudicators. Kevin is considered an expert on the FIDIC suite of contract documentaon as well as the other three forms of contract prescribed by the CIDB. He facilitates regularly on all the four types of contract documentaon both locally and internaonally. He is the only FIDIC Accredited Trainer in South Africa. COURSE OVERVIEW The 1999 FIDIC Condions of Contract are being increasingly used by the internaonal Construcon Industry throughout the World. The Mul-Lateral Development Banks, including the World Bank, Islamic Bank for Development and the Asian Development Bank have adopted the 1999 FIDIC Condions of Contract for Construcon with modificaons. The purpose of the course is to ensure that FIDIC contracts are managed and administered correctly by understanding the full contract cycle from contract award, condions of contract, start-up, the pre-commencement meengs, performance security, daily diaries, the programme, financial control, ongoing supervision, taking- over the works, suspension and terminaon and dispute resoluon. This praccal training course, explains and illustrates the use of the FIDIC Condions of Contract for Construcon and the FIDIC Condions of Contract for Plant and Design- Build.
