Join Us For Easter 2017! The Sacred Paschal Triduum, the highpoint of our entire
Church Year, will be celebrated sundown Thurs-
day, April 13 to sundown Sunday, April 16.
As a parish community, it is important that we
celebrate the Triduum together. Mark your
calendars and plan your schedules now, so
that all family members can join us for the
great liturgies of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday of the Resur-
rection of the Lord!
Pray for Persecuted Christians! Remember to pray for Christians around the world who are be-ing persecuted daily for our faith. A suggested prayer can be
found in church in the basket on the altar rail below our icon of
Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Our Lady of Perpetual help, pray for us!
Vocation View This Lent Jesus invites us to go up on a mountain, to spend ex-tra time in prayer. Don’t be afraid of what you might experi-
ence. Trust that God is leading you to greater understanding.
(Matthew 17:1-9)
The Light is ON for You! In most parishes or pastoral regions across
the Archdiocese of
Cincinnati, including
Annunciation Parish, the Sacrament of Rec-
onciliation will be
available this Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. During this season of
Lent, consider making a commitment to celebrate the
Sacrament of Reconciliation and know the healing grace
of God’s mercy and love. Learn more at: www.lightison4u.org
Interested in Becoming Catholic? If you have no church home, or are attending Annuncia-tion but are not Catholic, have you ever thought about
becoming Catholic or wondered how someone becomes
Catholic? There is no commitment required for someone
to begin the inquiry process - just an openness to ask questions and find out what is involved in the process for
becoming Catholic. Come and see! If you or someone
you know is interested in finding out more about the
possibility of becoming Catholic, please contact
Father Grogan or Dr. Sandi Chakeres at the Parish
Office, 861-1295.
Our Condolences Our condolences to the family and friends of long time
Annunciation parishioner, Raul Florez, who died Febru-
ary 27th and whose Mass of Christian Burial was cele-brated here at Annunciation Parish on March 3rd. Eternal
rest grant unto Raul, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine
upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful
departed, through the mercy of God, rest in eternal peace. Please keep the Florez family in your thoughts and pray-

Focus on Zambia
A child who lives in Royda Banda's family complex. (Photo by Jim Stipe/Catholic Relief Services) Royda is
the sister of Evelina Banda. The sisters are very close and
do many things together, including cooking, eating and
farming in Ndombi Village, Zambia. Both Royda and Evelina are learning about nutrition and hygiene by par-
ticipating in the CRS FANSER project, implemented by
Caritas Chipata in Eastern Zambia. The child in this pho-to benefits from the nutrition and hygiene information
that Evelina and Royda are learning.
Background:
With support from GIZ, the German government’s agen-
cy for international development, Catholic Relief Ser-vices and Caritas Chipata are implementing the "Food
and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience" project,
also known as FANSER, which aims to improve food
security and nutrition among pregnant and lactating women and children under two in Petauke district, East-
ern Zambia.
From August 1st, 2015 through December 31st, 2017, the
FANSER project will be working with households to pro-
mote basic hygiene practices, support growth monitoring sessions, and help prevent child malnutrition by promot-
ing the use of locally-produced, nutrient-rich crops for
balanced, nutritious diets through "care groups". Learn more at www.crsricebowl.org.

Were YOU at our Annunciation Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras Celebration Our February 28 Annunciation Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras Celebration was so much fun! We began
with Evening Prayer and the Burning of Palm, followed by our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Mardi Gras Celebration. Thanks to all who volunteered to help, and all who came out to support our “feast before the fast.” We had a wonderful turnout of Annunciation parishioners, Annunciation
Catholic School families, and friends from the Clifton community and beyond! A good time was had by all! You can view all the photos at our Annunciation Facebook Page!
