I n 2008 he warned that he would hunt them, fi nd them and

kill them, and this week Liam Neeson is back in ‘Taken 2’ to bring all kinds of pain to those troublesome abductors.

Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a “particular set of skills” who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from kidnappers.

Mills kills one of the villains but the villain’s father swears revenge on Mills and takes him and

his wife (Famke Janssen) hostage in Istanbul.

Mills enlists Kim to help them escape. He then employs his unique tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers, one by one.

While still packed with intense fi ght scenes and plenty of tension, ‘Taken 2’ follows the route of many past action sequels and offers much the same experience as its predecessor ‘Taken’ despite the change in abductees.

Though by no means

a bad movie, ‘Taken 2’ doesn’t top or even meet the standards set by the fi rst fi lm.

A raft of sports games have been released over

the last few weeks to the cheers of die-hard sports fans but none have had a bigger response than ‘NBA 2K13’.

With more than fi ve million copies sold worldwide and more than 25 Sports Game of the Year awards, ‘NBA 2K12’ was a monster release for the biggest NBA video game simulation franchise in the world.

This year, 2K Sports has joined forces with multi-platinum recording

artist Jay-Z to transcend sports video games and take virtual hardwood to the next level.

Jay-Z’s infl uences can be heard throughout the game’s soundtrack as well as seen throughout the in-game elements such as menus, art and gameplay cameras.

Featuring an enhanced MyCareer mode and all-new gameplay features, ‘NBA 2K13’ will let gamers pit the best players in NBA history against the new dynasty of talent.

‘NBA 2K13’ is the 14th

release in the franchise’s history. Additional features include: current and past NBA superstars, dynamic shot generation, signature skills, a revamped passing system and more.

O ne of Disney’s most treasured classics,

‘Cinderella’, fl ies out of the Disney vault this week and onto DVD and Blu-Ray shelves.

Released in 1950, ‘Cinderella’ tells the story of a young girl whose cruel stepmother prevents her from attending the Royal Ball. Clearly distraught and upset, Cinderella gets some unexpected help from the lovable mice Gus and Jaq, and from her Fairy Godmother.

This fantastic new

release contains a stack of special features including ‘Behind The Magic: A New Disney Princess Fantasyland’, ‘The Magic of the Glass Slipper: A Cinderella Story’, ‘Play Movie With Introduction By Diane Disney Miller’, plus a host of others.

When ‘Cinderella’ was fi rst released some 52 years ago, it marked a very important moment in Disney’s history. The profi ts from the fi lm’s release and other merchandise gave Walt Disney the cash fl ow

to fi nance a slate of productions including the construction of Disneyland. The Diamond edition is a must-have.

P rinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes have

teamed up in what most think is an unexpected but natural collaboration, an album of duets.

‘Come Together’ features covers of some of Prinnie and Mahalia’s favourite songs, hidden gems from the soul era covering Aretha Franklin to Beyonce.

It also features an original song, ‘The Hard Way’, written by Mahalia and her husband Ben Rodgers and a special guest appearance

by Diesel, providing guitar and backing vocals on a cover of ‘All Come Together’.

Prinnie and Mahalia recorded 12 songs in fi ve days with a full band that consisted of Mahalia’s touring outfi t ‘The Soul Mates’ and included a horn and string section. Recording the songs live, the women wanted the album to sound natural and organic.

They found the beauty of performing duets and as best friends were able to have a lot of fun with it and play off one another’s

energies making the album the perfect harmony of their different vocal styles. Prinnie clearly shows off her involvement in pop and hip-hop, while Mahalia has developed a unique take on the soul genre.
