Spears from AT&T to explain the next phase of the process. He said that on 2010 he spent time with the Salesmanship Club Board. Education is the primary focus of AT&Tʼs philanthropy. Their $250 Million pro-gram, Aspire, focuses on raising graduation rates. He explained that AT&T, as a world-wide company, wants its brand associated only with world-class endeavors. Their next step was to meet with Mayor Mike Rawlings to discuss the property. They also spoke with SMU about using the new course as the home course for their golf team and to First Tee for a program to teach golf and life skills to under-privileged boys and girls. In 2011 every course architect in the world expressed an interest in the new course. After walking the property, Coore and Crenshaw agreed to cre-ate the new course. There will be no residen-tial development around the course, and much of the natural landscape will be retained.

THOUGHTS ON . . .

Strong lives are motivated by dynamic purposes.

~ Kenneth HildebrandDo not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be the miracle.

~ Phillips BrooksOur lives teach us who we are.

~ Salman RushdieThe first half of our lives is ruined by our parents, and the second half by our children. ~ Clarence DarrowWe may not imagine how our lives could be more frustrating and com-plex – but Congress can.

HE PROFITS MOST WHO LAUGHS BEST A guy is walking along a Florida beach when he comes across a lamp partially buried in the sand. He picks up the lamp and gives it a rub. A genie appears and tells him he has been granted one wish.

The guy thinks for a moment and says, "I want to live forever."

"Sorry," said the genie, "I'm not allowed to grant eternal life."

"OK, then, I want to die after Congress balances the budget and eliminates the debt.”

While attending a Marriage Weekend, Joe and his wife Ann listened to the instructor say, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."  He then said to the men. "Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?"

Frank leaned over and gently whispered, "Gold Medal All-Purpose, isn't it?"

Rotary Helps Ghana Surpass Clean Water Goals from www.Rotary.orgFor over 20 years, Michael Anyekase has crisscrossed Ghana

drilling boreholes and installing hand pumps on wells to provide clean water for drinking, washing, and flushing toilets. "There is nothing more satisfying than when fresh water comes out of the well and the children shout, 'Hey, water! Water!'" says Anyekase, who works for Water in Africa, a nongovernmental organization.

In partnership with Rotary members from across the globe, Anyekase's dedication has helped eradicate Guinea worm disease and lessen the cases of dysentery, diarrhea, and other diseases.
