If you are a new parishioner, please introduce yourself to one of our priests, complete a census form and drop it in the collection box. Census forms are at the back of the Church.

During Advent, as we prepare our hearts for the coming of the Lord at Christmas,

each week we add decorations to the Church symbolizing this preparation. We began our preparation with the blessing of the Advent Wreath.

We hung wreaths on the doors of the Church. We added wreaths in the Sanctuary.

This week we add unlit Christmas trees in the Upper Church.

Christmas Flower Envelopes are available at the door of the Church if you would like to contribute to the Christmas decorations.

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel!

Imagine how Mary felt at the birth of Jesus: excited, awed, frightened. Deep faith was her light in the darkness, for Jesus was born during the night of the year when darkness is the longest. Your gift to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul brought light into the darkness surrounding the heart of those living in poverty.

There is no Coffee Hour on Christmas Eve or New Years Eve.

The Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God , Monday, January 1, 2018, is not a Holyday of obligation this year. In addition to the regular 7:00 A.M. Mass there will be a Mass at Noon on Monday.

Blessed Christmas and Joyous New Year to everyone in the Confirmation Program!

Cardinal Seán has directed that Saint Agnes and Saint Camillus Parishes will begin as a collaborative in June of next year, 2018. A collaborative is a structure within which several distinct parishes cooperate, to combine resources such as priests, staff and finances, to put toward our global effort of evangelization. Within the collaborative, our two parishes will begin this collaboration by sharing a pastor. We will share parochial vicars and key staff members. It is likely that the priests will live together in one rectory. The parishes will not combine bank accounts. Our offertories, and sacramental records, and capital needs will all be tracked separately.

Really Rosie

Sunday’s performance was a great example of what our two strong schools can do when we come together. We thank Father Flatley for his leadership throughout the collaboration process and Father Graham for his support of our School. We thank Mrs. Billings and the AC Drama Program for initiating this Arts Collaborative and Ms. Jenison, Saint Agnes Music Teacher, for working with the Saint Agnes School students to prepare them for the performance. Most importantly, we thank the students for sharing their joy and talent with us! We have put a tremendous amount of work into making this hall a wonderful performing arts space for our school

We have begun The Next Stage Campaign to help raise money for this $250,000 project. The Parish has contributed funds for the structural upgrades and is committed to the completion of the project. Dr. Larry Barton , an alumnus of both Saint Agnes School and Arlington Catholic High School, and his wife Eliza , have made a very generous $100,000 contribution to name this space Barton Hall in honor of his parents, who “made many sacrifices, as all parents do, to send their three sons to Saint Agnes School, and whatever success Larry has achieved in life, he directly attributes to them and the education he received here and at Arlington Catholic.” Barton Hall will include a refurbished main stage, modern theatrical lighting and sound systems, and upgraded rehearsal and costume areas. We are hoping Dr. Barton’s gift will motivate others who love the Parish to help us renew our institutions for tremendous opportunities ahead. We need your support . You may contribute at http://saintagnesschool.com/new/giving/stage/. Thank you.
