have south Carolina eave the Union. Angry Southerners in Charleston, south open
fire on soldiers at Fort Sumter New of the attack on fort Sumter created a
wave of periotic fury in the north. The North calls for wars
Lincoln calls for 75,000 volunteers troops to protect the Union

THE EFFECTS OF THE WAR The long 4 years civil war was deep and long
lasting effects. About 620,000 Americans had lost their lives. The Civil war had ended slavery in the south. Most former slaves were left with no homes and jobs.
