TemWay 3000

TemWay 3000 is Terasaki switchboards line for main, secondary and terminal distribution of electrical energy inlow-voltage systems with rated currents up to 3000A and rated short time current 50kA for 1s.

TemWay 3000 switchboards are tested and certified in accordance with international standard IEC 439-1.

TemWay 3000 switchboards have been designed and manufactured to meet various installation needs and designedfor the installation of Terasaki ACBs, mccbs and mcbs, as well as any other type of equipment and complementarydevice.Modular construction allows you to create structures with width and depth easy to be adapted to any distributionsystem for office and industrial sectors.

TemWay3000 is a new concept product in the panel building ambit for electrical boards able to satisfy variousdemands of a continuos progressive market.Our deep background in planing and manufacturing of electrical boards has allowed the realization of a productable to adapt itself to any use.

Metal structures are made of Aluzinc 15÷20/10mm thick steel having Sendizimir galvanized treatment. Structuresare assembled using galvanized bolts.Painted external metal parts are treated by washing and degreasing in a phosfating tunnel using iron phosfate.Painting of the structures and doors is made of epoxy powder 60 mm thick, fine textured semi-gloss finish. We usean automatic cycle plant having final heating treatment 180°C. Standard color is RAL 7035. Other colors areavailable upon request.

TemWay 3000 switchboards have been developped and realised in compliance with international standardIEC 439-1 for nominal currents up to 3000A and certified by the Italian laboratory Centro Elettrotecnico SperimentaleItaliano (CESI) for rated short time current 50kA for 1s, with certificate CER-96/018538.

Width

Widths of the TemWay 3000 structures has been designed to allow easy positioning of equipment and any size ofTerasaki circuit breakers.

Three widths are available:- 690mm,- 845mm,- 1000mm.

Height: 2150mm.

A basic structure of 400mm width is available to be used when front accessibility to the back of switchboard isrequired. No equipment can be installed in this structure.

When necessary, it is possible to assemble more columns side by side, so obtaining cabinets with unlimitatedlenght.

Depth

TemWay3000 basic structure depth can be choosen among following values:- 250mm,- 400mm,- 600mm,- 800mm.

When a deeper board is required, it's possible to assemble one or more columns back to back, so obtainingcabinets with unlimited depth.

Size and busbars

Designing TemWay3000 we deeply considered all problems connected with traditional panel building systems.There were several problems to solve in order to install big sized devices and switches inside a standard cabinetand to keep spare for busbars.For this reason we thought to make possible different dimensions of the TemWay3000 width columns.So devices and switches of different sizes can now be easily installed.

Busbar compartmentBusbars can be allocated on top or on bottom or on side of structure.Side allocation depends by structure width according following drawings.- 690mm structure has no busbar compartment.- 845mm structure can have 155mm busbar compartment installed on one side.- 1000mm structure allows more solutions. The first is two busbar compartment 155mm each, at both sides of thestructure. The second is a 310mm busbar compartment just at one side of the structure.

Rising cables raceway duct

It is really an intelligent solutionTemWay3000 standardized widths allow one or more cables ascents inside one column, keeping always availablea 520mm internal width.This allows to easily fit every ACB and mccb.It is not anymore necessary to put heavy and expensive columns for cables ascents next the electrical board.Now, by a simple and cheap segregation and a frontal panel which can be fitted in few minutes, you can obtainreliable cables ascent.Besides to house the rising duct, the raceway inside each column can be used to house terminal boards.This solution becomes absolutely necessary in 845mm and 1000mm columns to assure a wide rising space, or incase you want a Power Center column with complete frontal accessibility.

Flexible compartments

Electrical equipment can be easily installed into dedicated modular compartment.Compartments width is 520mm (door 590mm).Heights are related to breaker size as reported here below.Compartments for mcb and Din equipments are 520mm width (door 590mm), heights are 200mm, 375mm, 550mmfor 1, 2 or 3 row of 28 DIN modules each.Measurement compartment can be installed in every part of each structure along its height.Bus duct dedicated compartment can be also used to fit measuremnt instruments, if necessary.Each compartments has its own IP30 door.

TemWay 3000 switchboards have been designed to have mccbs horizontal installed.

125A, 250A, 1600A sizes can also be installed in the upright position.

ACBs can be only vertical installed.

All switches can be fed both from the ON (up) side and the OFF (bottom) side.

Segregation forms (EN 60439-1)

Segregation form is defined as the type of division within the switchboard provided by barriers or partitions, metalor insulating type.TemWay 3000 can be provided with one of the following segregation form:- 1: no segregation;- 2: separation of busbars from the power functional units;- 3: separation of the power supply busbars from the functional units and separation of all functional units each

other, except their output terminals;- 4: separation of the power supply busbars from the functional units and separation of all functional units each

other, including their output terminals.

IP protection degree

Switchboards protection degree is identified by the letters IP followed by two digits.

The first digit (0 to 6) indicates the protection degree against penetration into the switchboard of solid objects andpeople protection for undue contact with alive components:

IP 0X, IP 1X, IP 2X, IP 3X, IP 4X, IP 5X, IP 6X

The second digit (0 to 8) indicates the protection degree against water penetration into switchboard:

IP X0, IP X1, IP X2, IP X3, IP X4, IP X5, IP X6, IP X7, IP X8

TemWay 3000 switchboards can be provided with following IP protection degree:

- IP 31, standard,for indoor installation and when protection against water is not required;

- IP 41, with double door (glazed or blind),as above and when protection for undue actioning is required;

- IP 55, with double door and gasket kit,when protection against water penetration is required.

If non specified, TemWay 3000 is supplied as IP31.

Meaning of the first digit:

0 unprotected

1 protected against access to hazardous partswith the back of the hand and solid objectshaving diameter > 50mm

2 protected against access to hazardous partswith the test finger and solid objects havingdiameter > 12.5mm

3 protected against access to hazardous partswith tool (eg screwdriver) and solid objects

Verification by calculation or simplified measures, permitted as an alternative to type tests, concerns heating,short-circuit withstand and insulation.

Evaluation of temperature-rise is permitted by calculation, which can be conducted in accordance to IEC 61439-1Standard. The method determines the temperature inside the enclosure due to the power dissipated by theapparatuses and conductors there installed.

The following tables show the values of power dissipated in the switchboard so that the maximum temperature riseat the top of the switchboard as metal surface is not greater than 30°C, or 40°C if the upper part of the switchboardneed not be touched in normal service.

The values obtained from tests and calculations, has to take into account not only the maximum air temperatureinside the enclosure, but also the size of the framework, the type of installation, the absence of horizontal internalbaffles.

Verification is made comparing the power losses value of equipment and conductors installed with the power valuereported in the table for a given structure, with or without air vents (IP30/IP40 or IP55).

The busbar system complies with IEC 439/1. Each component of the system has undergone tests and checks.It allows a significant savings in assembly time and an excellent aesthetic level.Rated current up to 3000A.Rated short-time 50kA for 1s.

Copper busbarElectrolytic copper assures perfect quality of the electrical contact without significant temperature increase,- dimensions: (thickness x width) 5x40mm 5x50mm 5x60mm 5x80mm 5x100mm

- - 10x60mm 10x80mm 10x100mm- provided with distributed holes for easy connection to circuit breakers.

Fastening systemEasy and quick bars fastening is made with polyester resin with glass fibers fixing blocks.High electrical and mechanical characteristics:- Exceptional resistance to short-circuit;- High stability clamping;- Absolute self-extinguishing;- Reduced temperature rise;- Horizontally or vertically mounting.1SB05 support block allows a 5mm thick single phase bar fastening.3SB10 support block allows up to 3 bars, 10mm thick, fastening.

ACBs and MCCBs connection busbarThe link from the main distribution system to MCCBs and ACBs (rear connect), is done with solid bars.Up to 250A MCCBs, flexible bars or cables are utilized.
