South Coast Stone specialise in the importation, fabrication and installation of all types of natural and engineered stone. With our team of craftsmen, we use the latest CNC equipment

to manufacture any stone product from bespoke worktops through to cladding the exterior of a large commercial building.

We have a constantly expanding range of products, which enables us to be confident of offering the widest available choice. From our manufacturing facility in Poole Dorset, we install our products throughout the UK providing high quality stone at a very competitive price. Andy CroceManaging Director

Andy has worked in the stone industry for over 25 years. After completing his stone apprenticeship at a leading stone manufacturer in Italy he then gained valuable experience by working on various projects throughout the UK, including being a contracts manager responsible for both wall and floor stone installations at the prestigious Canary Wharf shopping Malls and Railways stations

He co-founded South Coast Stone in 2005 as a worldwide importer and installer of stone products. South Coast Stone have seen their customer base and turnover grow year on year through their ability to deliver and install stone projects on time and within budget. In addition to commercial work, South Coast Stone continues to expand their retail operation with the supply and installation of the widest range of natural and engineered stone worktops and bathrooms.

THE STONE COLLECTION

We have an extensive catalogue of products which includes over 600 types of stone. Our products are sourced and imported by us from all over the world, which ensures we can offer you the

widest choice. There are many natural variations of colour and pattern and we always encourage our customers to visit us to see the possibilities and select a stone of their choice. If this is not practical we can arrange to visit your office or site with free samples and advice..

Granite is a hard stone formed over a million years ago in the molten core of the earth. It is available in a wide choice of colours and finishes and some contain reflective crystals, which give an almost holographic sparkle and intensity of colour.

Marble is a softer stone and is a type of limestone. It is available in many colours and shades and is suitable for polishing. Each piece of marble has its own unique pattern or veining. It is frequently used for bathrooms, fireplaces and flooring.

Limestone is a soft sedimentary rock with fossils often embedded in it. The texture is coarse and open. It is available in a range of finishes, but frequently it is honed, as it does not retain a high lustre polish. It is best suited to use in bathrooms and for flooring.

Quartz composite also known as engineered stone is harder, yet lighter than granite. It still retains all of the character of natural stone and can be manufactured in many colours and patterns. It is a hard wearing and non porous material and is highly stain resistant. It is suitable for all applications.

Slate is a soft stone with a natural matt finish. Our Italian black slate tends to be supplied in short lengths which necessitates a higher number of joints when installing. This material can be prone to marking and is only recommended for internal use.

South Coast Stone worked closely with the main contractor and the Stein family to meet their exacting requirements. We proposed a range of marble from the Carrara region of Tuscany

and Crema Delicato was chosen for the installation.

This was installed in the waiter stations, servery surfaces, bathroom vanities and used for wall cladding behind the bars within their Sandbanks restaurant. The success of this project resulted in South Coast Stone being awarded the contract to supply and install stone in their Marlborough restaurant.

marble tops, waiter stations and vanity units to twelve of the restaurants in Jamie’s chain. South Coast Stone look forward to a continuing relationship and being the stone supplier of choice for the expanding and growing Jamie’s brand.

This ultra-high end luxurious residence in the heart of Mayfair, includes marble flooring and porcelain floor and wall tiles in en-suites and bathrooms, along with marble shower

trays, niches and bath tops. The bathrooms are adorned with beautiful book-matched Calacatta marble wall cladding which epitomises the high end nature of the work. Additionally the timeless, elegant and sophisticated Port Laurent marble is used throughout the project from entrance floors to full staircases. This striking stone features a dark background crisscrossed with veins of gold which we took great care in slip matching around all four sides of the treads.

To emphasise the high specification design we carefully selected marbles from across the European continent, so that we achieved the best possible finish for our client.

Working with the world famous designer Martin Brudnizki, South Coast Stone took the client and architect to Italy to select Calacatta Oro marble slabs for their apartments,

which overlook Covent Garden in London.

We manufactured and installed mosaics, bricket type tiles, marble borders, vanity tops and shower seat for these magnificent bathrooms. On completion of the bathrooms we installed Calacatta treads with an ogee edge detail for their spiral staircase and laid a Calacatta and honed Nero Zimbabwe granite checker board design.

South Coast Stone work to the highest standards of Health & Safety in everything we do. Our Managing Director is certified with CITB Site Safety Plus ‘The Directors Role of H&S’

along with ‘SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Certification’.

We have in-house personnel trained and hold the accreditation of SSS (Site Safety Supervisors). We work with a NEBOSH Health & Safety consultant to ensure our policies and procedures are maintained with the latest legislation and we operate with the best practices possible. The Company is also working towards all employees being CSCS Certified.
