System Requirements

Software Requirements

Current version of beas manufacturing is written for the SBO 9.2 (PL00 or higher) and SAP 9.2 for MSSQL and SAP HANA. For support on previous or future versions of SAP Business One please consult the https://support.boyum-it.com website. The supported databases for running SAP Business One are: - All MSSQL- and HANA Versions are supported, which are supported by SAP Business One. MSSQL 2016: official support start: 2/2017

Client running the add-on should meet the following requirements: - Microsoft Windows or Linux according to SAP - Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.0 or higher - Microsoft Office Excel 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016 (If you plan to use report export) - Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016 (If you plan to email by SAP) - Microsoft Office Word 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016 (If you plan to use the report export) - Crystal Report 11 (11.x) Runtime Environment (If you plan to use the Crystal Report functionality)

Hardware SAP standards apply. Per client 20% additional memory must be calculated. Depends more on the number of transactions and actions than on the number of users.

Hardware SAP standards apply. Per client 20% additional memory must be calculated. Note: beas saves all local settings in the directory %programdata%\beas This directory is not allowed to be deleted after ending the logoff, because the server connection information is stored there as well. A distinct client name for each client is necessary, otherwise problems may occur during the license checking. This is defined in the environment variable "clientname".

Window client (Local SAP Business One / beas – installation)

Hardware SAP standards apply. Per client 20% additional memory must be calculated. For clients, which executes computationally intensive operations (APS, MRP, Calculation), should have 4 GB memory and a good hardware.

Web Server Tomcat (will be delivered with SAP), Apache from XAMPP

Recommended device Any For the barcode support the driver need to be installed to transfer the barcode to the keyboard.

Mobile Terminal Device The mobile solution is conceived for the use of mobile terminal devices.

Recommended device Motorola Motorola MC9200 For the barcode support the driver need to be installed to transfer the barcode to the keyboard. Other hardware components and software components must be checked and released by beas.

License Requirements

As an alternative, you can request a demo license: https://portal.boyum-it.com/TryBeas/TryCustomer beas activates the license automatically. In license administration, the employees and stations need to be assigned depending on the licenses purchased

How to install beas manufacturing Open the folder where the installation file is saved Run the installation file as Administrator

Accept the agreement from beas manufacturing installation

Select a folder in the local machine to save and execute beas manufacturing. At least many MB of free space is required

Select the components to install. By default, the system will select the ones needed on that server / work station

Click on “Install” to start the installation

Some messages will display and a status bar will display the completed percentage

After installing, the following screen will appear. Click on “Finish”

To install the add-on, please log on to SAP Business One as manager or super user and navigate to "Administration > Add-Ons > Add-On Administration" and press the "Register Add-on" Press the buttons on the right to choose the .ard and .exe. Tick off if the Add-on should be assigned to the currently logged into, and choose if you want to install as part of the registration (Checkbox).

Important setting in the SAP Add-On-Administration window The beas AddOn has to be at first place, to ensure that other functions will not be disabled by beas. When you first run the add-on, it will begin creating the tables and fields (only happens when the first user installs the add-on). After creation of tables, fields and default data, the add-on will prompt for another restart. This is required in order for SAP Business One to register the new data created. (Again, this is only needed for the first installation or upgrade).

Special notes for 64 Bit installation The installation on a client is only necessary if this is not the server at the same time. The current DI-API 32 Bit must be installed. The DI-API 32 Bit has also to be installed if a SAP Business One 64-Bit-Client is installed and beas will only run in SAP Business One 64 Bits while SAP Business One 32 Bits is not installed in the same work station. When both SAP Business One are installed, beas manufacturing will only run in the 32 Bits

How to upgrade to beas manufacturing new version To upgrade a previous version of the beas manufacturing to a later version, all you need to do is consider the upgrade as a normal installation. During an upgrade, SAP Business One will automatically uninstall the previous version of beas manufacturing and then install the new version

How to unistall beas manufacturing Uninstall follows the normal uninstall procedure as described in the SAP Business One documentation. Go to Administration > Add-Ons > Add-on Administration

Select beas manufacturing, on the right side on the screen, so it is highlighted and press the button to unassign the add-on from the company.

Next, select beas manufacturing, on the left side of the screen, and press the “Remove Add-on” button, and finally the Update button.

Restart SAP Business One to begin the uninstallment

After removing the beas manufacturing add-on, the beas manufacturing program must be removed from windows

Beas will be removed from the local computer with the folders and programs

How to install beas manufacturing Terminal

Client – Server Based The installation of SAP Business One DI-API 32 Bit and beas is necessary. Per station a user will be set up, for example: Terminal1, Terminal2. Please avoid blanks in the user names These users should have a “Full Authorization on SAP menu: Administration > System Initialization > Authorization > General Authorizations Select the user to be updated and an authorization tree will display. On General > Disable DI API Permission Check

Now, a terminal shortcut should be created on the work station. Right after “\beas.exe”, other parameters must be inserted: Word terminal: ID for "Start in terminal mode" Word user: The user ID (not user name!), eg. Terminal1

Word pw: password of the user Word database: name of the data base (according to SQL-server) Example: "....beas\beas.exe\ terminal user=Terminal1 pwd=abc database=trainingdb

Web Based Compatible with all Windows versions EXP, Windows Mobile from CE, Linux and other mobile operating systems. As

a client, any system is used, which can display web pages. IE as a browser, Safari, or Chrome is recommended, the

program is also compatible with other browsers.

Technical Requirements: on a server, an Apache PHP server or a Tomcat server needs to be installed. The Tomcat

server is part of the SAP Business One installation. On the server, the beas-server-service is started. Please select a

free port. Then, the client can access the IP address of the server.
