Attached herewith is the updated tentative budget for MOCK PI Exercise scheduled on 22nd Sept. 2019.

Internship Mentoring for the MBA (CM) Batch

Mentoring for specialization involves

• Interaction with students in formal as well as informal settings• Personal Counselling• Streamlining the student expectations and translating it into academic inputs• Guidance for skill enhancement.

Interaction with students in formal as well as informal settings

Six months prior to internships, the entire batch was briefed regarding the SOPs of internships, along with other requirements. There were constant interactions with the batch for CV preparations around the same time.

Personal Counselling

Few students requested counselling/mentoring about the possible internship avenues in terms of the

companies and sectors, and they were counselled accordingly in informal settings.

Streamlining the student expectations and translating it into academic inputs

A grooming session was organized for preparing the students to participate in Mock GDs before they sat for the internship process.Post the internships, a viva-voce and report submission was conducted to assess the students' performance and learning in the internship. Industry feedback for the students was incorporated in the assessment plan.After the internship, students come with newer perspectives and it is important to understand their expectations from the programme. Student inputs were taken into consideration while planning the academic structure for forthcoming cycles.

Dear All,I am sharing the academic discussion groups/ academic mentoring groups depending on your area of interest and the area of the faculty.

Here are the interest areas of the faculty:Prof. Ajit Duara- Film theory, Writing and Film as a medium.Prof. Mithun- Film direction, film writing and documentary film makingProf. Manisha- Film direction and documentary film makingProf. Sneha- Media theory, Art and Visual mediumDr. Gagan- Photography, Cinematography and documentary film makingProf. Dharmendra Chavan- Film editing

Depending on your interest area and availability of the faculty, I have made these groups. Though these list/groups are based on your current area of interest and if there is a change in your area of interest, please free to contact the faculty of that area. My suggestion is that you give at least a semester to figure out whether your interest is changed or not.I have also assigned senior student mentor to each group.You can start meeting your mentor whenever you feel the need to.
