March 2, 2012 Disaster• A EF3 tornado ripped through this community of
about 3,400 residents, killing six, devastating nearly 400 homes, businesses and government structures, and destroying much of the downtown area.
• A EF2 tornado on February 29, 2012 that caused property damage but no loss of life.
