Material

RECYFIX Sport channels andtrash boxes are made of 100 %recycled plastic. Their mostredeeming feature is that theyare lightweight and easy toinstall. The material they aremade of is highly durable, UVstabilised, has a neutral impacton the environment and isimpervious.

RECYFIX Sport slotted channelsare supplied with slotted coversmade of KTL-coated steel. Theinlet slots of RECYFIX SuperSport slotted channels consist ofEPDM inserts that are closed ondelivery. Once the sport coatinghas been applied the inserts canbe opened without any difficulty.Also available as an inexpensivealternative are the RECYFIXStandard Sport slotted channels.With this variation, the inlet slotconsists of a universal U profile.

Sports plastic covers consist ofUV resistant white syntheticresin and are resistant to salts ofcondensation, do not absorbwater and are largely fracture-proof. Due to their smoothsurface they do not collect dirt.The Sport plastic covers arelightweight. They are quick andeasy to assemble.

Sport plastic covers lock them-selves into place in the basesection of the RECYFIX Sportchannel. The slotted channelsare locked by means of stainlesssteel clips.

RECYFIX Sports plastic blankcovers are available for slottedchannels in crossing areas.

The RECYFIX trash boxes matchthe respective channels andserve as a collecting point forsolid material. They have aplastic bucket and provide theoption for channels to beconnected on both ends.Changing from a box channel toa slotted channel is easy using atrash box.

Many different events are held atsports facilities, often deman-ding moveable boundaries. Suchboundaries may be provided andremoved easily with FASERFIXSports soft edge markers.

FASERFIX Sports soft edgemarkers may also be used as analternative cover for slottedchannels.

FASERFIX Sports soft edgemarkers combine a soft profileand a sub-frame made fromaluminium. The two parts areconnected together rigidly.Fixing pegs are located on theunderside, for mounting onto therunning track surfacing or ontoslotted channels. The soft profi-les are a rubber cushion forminga capping made from white ethy-lene propylene unvulcanisedrubber (EPDM). This material istemperature-resistant from -30 °C to +100 °C and is extre-mely elastic. The air cushionsignificantly reduces the dangerof injury to athletes.

FASERFIX Sports soft edgemarkers are available in straightor curved design, each 2 m inlength. The straight soft edgemarkers have 2 stable fixingpegs per 2 m piece, curved softedge markers have 3 fixing pegsper 2 m piece. Holes are bored inthe running track surfacing orone of the side areas of the slot-ted channels and aluminiumsleeves are inserted.These slee-ves accept the fixing pegs.

The individual soft edge markersare connected to one another bya plug-in system.

Aluminium Sport frames

Aluminium Sport frames are analternative to Soft Sport frames.Aluminium Sport frames are alsosuited for use as a mobile borderfor running tracks as well as acover for slotted channels. Theyare manufactured as a completeunit with integrated push-inelements and fixing pegs.

Aluminium Sport frames aremade of an aluminium-magne-sium alloy. As such they providean optical alternative to the SoftSport frames.

Aluminium Sport frames areavailable either straight orcurved, both in 5 m lengths.

Paris model FASERFIXSports channels and kerbingfor artificial turf securing.

The Paris model is a system forsecuring different types of artifi-cial turf easily and neatly. Thesystem is particularlysuitable for hockey pitches. Parismodel Channels and kerbingabsorbs considerable tensionforces.

Paris model FASERFIXSports channels

The Paris model FASERFIXSports channels have the dualfunction of providing drainage ofthe playing field as well as secu-ring the artificial turfindependently of the grating. Thegrating can be removed for clea-ning while the artificail turfremains fully secured. The Parissystem uses FASERFIX Super100 NC channels made fromglass fibre reinforced concrete.The upper edges of the channelsand the surface supporting thegrating are of galvanised steel.

Paris model FASERFIX Sportschannels are supplied completewith galvanised slotted gratingsand clamping strips. When secu-ring the grating into the channel,the two spring fixings are clippedunder the edges of the clampingstrips. This vandal proof fixingsecures the grating withoutscrews. A whole range of thick-nesses of artificial turf may befixed with the clamping strips.Paris model Sports Corner unitswith galvanised slotted gratingsare available for playing fieldcorners.

Paris model FASERFIXSports kerbs

If drainage is not required, theartificial turf may be securedwith Paris model FASERFIXSports kerbing. Here the artificialturf is fixed as described aboveby a clamping strip. Paris modelchannels and kerb are suppliedwith the required quantity ofgrippers, countersunk screws toscrew the grippers, and counter-sunk screws to fix the clampingstrip.

FASERFIX Sports soft kerbswhich have rubber cushionedcappings are used for edgingsand pits, sand traps and othersports areas. They may also be used toprovide durable enclosures forindividual areas of the sportsfield/pitch. The rubber cushionedcapping minimises the risk ofinjury to athletes.

FASERFIX Sports soft kerbs aremanufactured from glass fibrereinforced concrete with a 60mmwidth and 30mm height white orblack rubber cushion made ofethylene propylene unvulcanisedrubber (EPDM). This material istemperature resistant from -30 °C to +100 °C and is ex-tremely elastic. The air cushionreduces the risk of injury tosporting participants.

FASERFIX Sports soft kerbs areavailable in heights of 200 to 400mm, and in 1000 mm or 500mm lengths.

Corner pieces in various dimen-sions enable right angle joints tobe made.

FASERFIX Sports soft kerbsfor shot-putting facilities

FASERFIX soft kerbs are availa-ble for shot-putting facilities. Thedesign and material is similar tothe Sports soft kerbs for sandpits and traps. The rubbercushioned capping is 100 mmwide and 50 mm high.

FASERFIX Sports soft kerb forshot putting facilities is availablein black colour, in 1000 mmlengths and heights from 150 mm to 250 mm.

RECYFIX Sports sand traps

RECYFIX Sports sand trapsprevent athletes from spreadingsand onto the adjoining runningtrack when leaving sand pits.This is especially importantwhen the running track is coatedwith plastic. Sand on suchcoated running tracks can leadto damage to the surface.

The base section of the Sportsand catchment channels ismade of polypropylene. The basesection is 500 mm wide andeither 560 or 1000 mm long. Thebase section includes a prefor-med DN 100 connecting inter-face.

An h-section metal profile isinstalled on one side of theSports sand trap. This profilegives a neat joint to the adjacentrunning track coatings. The sandtraps are supplied complete withan expanded metal grating andrigidly mounted rubber matting.The sand falls through the largehoneycomb openings in therubber matting into the basesection of the sand trap. Galvanised end caps are availa-ble as accessories.

We recommend enclosing sandpits with FASERFIX Sports softkerbs. Sand traps should thenadjoin the soft kerbs, being posi-tioned on both sides and at theend of the sand pit (see illustra-tion).

A double width of RECYFIXSports sand traps may also beinstalled to form a 1 metre wideprotective zone around the sandpit. In this design, only the outerrow of sand traps adjoining therunning track should have the h-section metal upstand.

The FASERFIX Sports waterjump kit comprises of reinforcedconcrete sections. As a result awater jump can be installedquickly, easily and economically,meeting the IAAF requirementsfor water jumps for steeplecha-ses. The German Copyrightprotected FASERFIX Sportswater jump kit is applicable toboth level installation and forinstallation with a single-sidedraised side wall.

The FASERFIX Sports waterjump kit is supplied in 3sections. Its dimensionsconform to DIN 18035, part 8.The appropriate modification kitmay be integrated for women’scompetitions (with reference toeg., artec Sportgeräte GmbH,49324 Meile). The upper edgesof the 3 individual parts areprovided with white soft profilesof ethylene propylene unvulcanised rubber (EDPM). Anintegral outlet to DN 70 of plasticenables the water jump to bedrained. The water jump base isconcreted by the installingcontractor. The water jump kit isdesigned with an adjustablegalvanised steel rail on both ofthe sidewall sections to enablethe inclination of the water jumpbase to be simply and accuratelyfixed. A steel connection reinfor-cement let into the rear sectionof the water jump serves to jointhe water jump kit to the waterjump base. In both side walls,metal pegs are located, forinterlocking into correspondingrecesses in the rear section ofthe water jump, this enables theindividual sections to be correc-tly located on installation. Eachof the three sections is providedwith 2 transport slings to allowlifting and positioning on site.

FASERFIX Sports dish channels

FASERFIX Sports dish channelsare laid as open channelsbetween turf and running track.They are designed so that one ofthe two outer edges forms the 5cm wide running track lanemarker lines. The FASERFIXSports dish channels are easy toclean and provide an alternativeto Sports channels with separatecovers.

FASERFIX dish channels aremade of glass fibre reinforcedconcrete, which is resistant tofrost and condensation salts.

FASERFIX Sports channels arejoined together by a tongue andgroove system. Two sleeves arelocated on the under side of eachchannel. The steel pins suppliedwith the channels can be inser-ted into these sleeves by thecontractor. This provides addi-tional vertical anchorage.

The FASERFIX Sports distribu-tion pit type E comprises 2sections with DN70 and DN100connection possibilities on allsides. The cover is navigable andconsists of galvanised steel plate.It can be filled up with plasticlayers by the contractor. Thecover is equipped with carrying-handle, fittings holder and cableprotection. An onlay frame withheight adjustment is available tospecial order.

The FASERFIX Sports distributionpit type W is supplied in one unitwith DN70 and DN100 outletconnection possibilities. Thenavigable cover consists ofgalvanised steel plate. It can befilled up with plastic layers bythe contractor. This cover is alsoequipped with a carrying handle.There is a raising section for bothdistribution pits for increasingthe finished installation level.

FASERFIX Sports distribution

FASERFIX Sports distribution pits type E accommodate electrical andcommunications cables. Sports distribution pit type W accommodatefittings, measuring instruments and water conduits of sports facilities.

FASERFIX Sports distribution pits are made of glass fibre reinforcedconcrete. The upper edges have a wrap-round corrosion-proof steelangle housing.
