We enable visitors young and old to discover more through talks, workshops and hands-on activities. We are currently developing an outdoor learning programme involving heritage skills. Vintage Fun and Rural Crafts The narrow gauge railway and bus provide free transport to explore the site, offering many opportunities to get up close to commercial vehicles, rail and road steam engines. We aim to have a train and bus running daily but due to the historic nature of the vehicles this cannot be guaranteed. Age-old skills are kept alive by craftspeople and volunteers working to traditional methods. Woodturners, potters, stained glass maker, blacksmith, stick makers, wheelwrights, printers and greenwood workers are all based here. You can expect to see at least three crafts demonstrated on your visit, but this depends on the schedules of the individual craftspeople.
