Amberley Museum is on the B2139 between Storrington andArundel, with a large car park next to Amberley railway station.

We enablevisitors young and old to discovermore through talks, workshops andhands-on activities. We are currently developing anoutdoor learning programmeinvolving heritage skills. Pay just 10% extra Gift Aid to allow us to reclaim 25% of the totalfrom the government. Pre-booked groups of 10+ who pay in asingle transaction benefit from the group rate. Ask at the office forinformation on talks, tours and catering that can enhance yourvisit. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogsare welcome but must be kept on a short lead.
Vintage Fun and Rural CraftsThe narrow gauge railway and busprovide free transport to explore thesite, offering many opportunities toget up close to commercial vehicles,rail and road steam engines.
We aim to have a train and busrunning daily but due to the historic nature of the vehicles thiscannot be guaranteed.
Age-old skills are kept aliveby craftspeople andvolunteers working totraditional methods.Woodturners, potters,stained glass maker,blacksmith, stick makers,wheelwrights, printers andgreenwood workers are allbased here.
You can expect to see at leastthree crafts demonstrated on yourvisit, but this depends on theschedules of the individualcraftspeople. If there is aparticular craft you would like tosee, please contact the Museumoffice in advance of your visit.

The Limeburners Cafe serveshot and cold lunches as well asdrinks and snacks. The Fairmile Cafe opens onsome event days, serving drinks,afternoon teas and snacks.Picnic areas are available across the site.The gift shop sells Museum souvenirs, gifts and booksand the ‘Friends’ run a bric-a-brac shop. Every purchaseyou make supports our work.Membership Get free entry for a year (except eveningand Christmas events) and receive discounts in the shopand cafe. Join on the day of your visit to get your standardday admission refunded. Full Ts and Cs online.Accessibility We have mainly flat ground and some gravelpaths. If you have questions regarding accessibility,please contact the Museum office in advance of your visit.

Covering 36 acres with over 40buildings, it was once a busy chalkquarry and limeworks. Buildingsand kilns are preserved alongsideothers rescued and erected hereto display and house our exhibits.
