We can't resist big surprises that come in small boxes like the lovelyone-of-kind jewelry creations created by artist and designer Lynne Blake ofSouth Bend, Indiana. Her unique dramatic pieces are all handmade with heavygauge wire that is hammered or torched and separately tumbled and finishedwith patinas. Gemstones and crystals applied enamels and copper washers areincorporated into her designs as an embellishment or as the focal point of thedynamic piece.

Artist Blake said, her passion for making jewelry evolved out of loveof gardening. Her talent for creating gardens and grouping plants by texture, size, and color transitioned into jewelry making as she felt the essential elements remained the same. Lynne also works with sterling silver, nickel andbrass. As a new piece of her jewelry develops she looks forward to the depththat will be achieved once she adds the final patina. Look for Lynne of the TallIris in booth 76.

They take FANDEMONIUMto the Next Dimension! In the earlyyears, founder and still ChiefDesigner, Matt Winemiller startedthis craze back in 1997. Over thecourse of 15 years, the design has hadmajor makeovers. What has neverchanged is Matt's gift of unique and

creative design. In the summer of2009, the Spazz Monkey revelationwas launched. Along with his partner Don Kaufman they created aunique line of walldecor that has nowreached all of overthe US. They are

proud to say we are 100% Made inAmerica. Look for these great wallpieces in booth 63 & 64 at theSummertime Celebration!

GOING GREENWITH WINE

BOTTLE CORKSCrafter DeAnn Smith has

always loved being creative. She said it all started when shewas on vacation at the beach. While collecting sea shells, shewas inspired by the beauty ofnature and decided to make a

nautical looking wreath using the shells. When otherpeople found out about her skills, she became anentrepreneur with a very functional product line thatincludes the wreaths made from wine corks. Otherwine cork creations include serving trays, tea lightholders and many other items. This creative lady alsohosts wine tasting gatherings with designs displayedfor purchase as an option and at the SummertimeCelebration you will find her in booth 37.

When crafter Deb Heater was a little girl about nine years ofage, she started to learn how to sew on her mother's old Singersewing machine, and loved to make her own clothes. Some yearslater, she married and her husband gave her a Singer sewing machineas a wedding gift and she continued to sew clothing. About tenyears later, she got the quilting “bug” and now owns a long-armquilting machine and has been off and running and never stopped.

Deb and husband Steve run the business as a team, withSteve running the business end and making sure everything runssmoothly. This includes booking shows, traveling, and doing a lotof the shows alone while Deb is home concentrating on makingbeautiful and creative products.

We will share a favorite story of Deb's with you. A customer by the name of Maggie approached Deb in lateNovember of last year and told her that her husband had recently passed away. Maggie proceeded to tell Deb that she had asuitcase full of old work shirts and wondered if they could be put into several quilts. Maggie wanted one for herself and onefor each of her four granddaughters. Deb was delighted that she was asked to make something so personal that would notonly be a keepsake, but was also something for Maggie to have as a remembrance of her beloved husband.

Crafter Heater went to work on the quilts with Maggie providing pictures of the girls with their stepdad, which wereincorporated into each quilt. Deb also embroidered the names of the granddaughters and Al , the stepdad, on the quilts that would go to them making them even more personal.

On Christmas morning, there were gift wrapped quilts under the tree. When the quilts were unwrapped, there were tears all around as the girls received gifts thatwould mean so much to them and be a keepsake that would be treasured forever. Be sure to visit this lovely couple in booths 88 and 89 at the Summertime Celebration ofArts and Crafts.

It was then andafter no longer working full time that she devoted all of her time to sewing, quilting and embroidering. In 2005 she began exhibiting at craft shows.
