Editing

•1• Remove spelling mistakes and

grammar errors

•2• Check names, designations,

dates etc to ensure that the copy is factually accurate

•3• Ensure that the copy is not

defamatory

•4• Identify gaps in copy

• Ask Reporter to provide missing information

•5• Rewrite badly written copy

•6• Club copy, that is join copy

received from two different sources

•7• Write headlines

•8• Decide news value and display

•1• Select photographs

•2• Edit photographs

• Crop pictures

• Digitally enhance pictures

•3• Write captions

Page making

•1• Decide layout based on news
