FOOD PANTRY

is usually open Thursdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, and Saturdays from 1:30 to 3:00 pm.

New volunteers are always welcome, as are donations of canned, packaged foods (non-perishable). We do not accept clothing, books or furniture.

PARISH INFO UPDATE

At parish Masses re-cently, we began updating the information in our parish regis-ters, especially adding email addresses, so that we can reach our parishioners in a timely way, as needed. If you did not yet fill out the yellow update card (both sides), it is still available in the rear of the church., or use the duplicate printed below. You can return it to rectory or drop it in a collection. The information will only be used in the parish, and not made public. Thanks for your cooperation.

Passing the Education Investment Tax Credit (A2551) would raise funds for public schools and strengthen scholarships for private schools.

This bill will only be passed if more Assembly Members agree to be-come its co-sponsors. Contact your lo-cal Assembly Member (Catherine Nolan) at her Sunnyside office (718-784-3194) and urge her to sponsor the bill and pass it into law

Long Island City Post Office for the food collection that its mail carriers conducted. A generous portion of the foodstuffs was donated to our Pantry clients.

S.A.T. PREP Our Korean members run an English-language SAT PREP program at their 37th Street Pastoral Cen-ter. They also do classes for SHSAT and PSAT. The summer schedule is from July 6 to August 21. Phone 646-957-5801 for more info, or stop by the rectory for a brochure.

Our RELIGIOUS EDUCATION program chil-dren have been given reregistration forms to sign up for the next pastoral year, beginning in September. Also: spread the word to potential newcomers to the program as well. Call 718-729-8957 for more info.
