INREACH/OUTREACH NEWS

Committee Meeting, Monday, Jan. 25th at 1pm

Golden Group News January 12th The Heritage Home Tour of Huntsville, Texas. Bus leaves St. Paul’s at 8 am. The cost: $10.00. We will start out at the Visitors Welcome Center and Sam Houston Statue. A guide will join us on the bus and we will tour 3 homes. Lunch on your own, Bennie J's Bar B Que.

Food Pantry Kick-Off February 7th

The youth will be standing at the back of the church to receive loose change as you exit after the worship service. All money collected will benefit St. Paul’s Food Pantry.

ELCA GOOD GIFTS Good News! $670.00 was collected for the Malaria mosquito nets. Thank you St. Paul’s.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Council Meeting Minutes - December 10, 2015

Present: Lorrie Andrews, Tena Burgess, Rip Clanton, Debbie Gillespie, Renee Napier, Kim Holle, Pastor Nancy Simpson, Beverly Tomsic

Opening devotion and prayer: Pastor Nancy

Pastor Nancy is going to be a Chaplain for the Baytown Police Department on a rotating basis.

Minutes from the November meeting were approved as published.

Treasurer’s Report –– Kim Holle – We are staying under budget, but the balance is in the red.

New Business:

Budget review – The proposed budget for 2016 was reviewed. Tena Burgess made a motion to accept the proposed budget for 2016. The motion passed.

The Annual Congregational Meeting will be January 17th in conjunction with a potluck luncheon. (please note date change)

Annual reports need to be to Jada by December 18th.

Wedding, Funeral, Quinceañera, and Fellowship Hall policies were reviewed.

There are no milestones for December from the Red Book.

The nominating committee is still looking for someone for the Property Committee.

Pastor Nancy will attend the Tri Synodical Conference in Arlington from January 25th -27th.

The Depression and Bipolar Support group has asked to use the church for weekly meetings. The Council is getting more information.
