Did you know?
As practicing Catholics we are encouraged to practice praying for at least 15 minutes each day. And wouldn’t you know it, the Rosary takes relatively that long to complete. The Rosary is a contemplative, reflective prayer that helps to lead us to Our Lord. Here are some tips to help you achieve a richer experience when praying the Holy Rosary. Begin by taking a moment to ask the Holy Spirit to help clear your mind of distractions so your attention can be focused on each mystery. Think of each Hail Mary prayer as a gift. Envision handing Our Mother a precious rose with each Hail Mary prayed. If your mind should wander or you should fall asleep, be patient with yourself. It happens to everyone. Practice will be your friend.
“The greatest method of praying is to pray the Rosary.” – Saint Francis de Sales
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN EDUCATION
January 27, 2019 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Thank You Volunteers & Donors
Thank you to the 20 volunteers who helped with our mini phone-a-thon this week in support A Voyage into the Future Capital Campaign. The volunteers dialed 465 households and spoke with 132 parishioners. They also left 227 voice mail messages. With support like this, it is no surprise that the campaign has surpassed $2 million in gifts and pledges from 250 families. Thank you all.
Pray for those mentioned in the Book of Intentions

SCHEDULES
Flu Season
According to the United States Catholic Bishops, “The faithful should be instructed not to receive from the chalice if they feel ill.” We want to echo that concern and suggest refraining from offering a physical sign of peace. A smile and a hand wave could go a long way in a symbolic gesture of love.
For your convenience, tissues and hand sanitizer are available in the vestibule of the Church.
First Saturday Devotional
Archbishop Sample has encouraged all to participate in First Saturday Devotion, with the intention of making reparation for offenses committed against Mary’s Immaculate Heart:
· Go to Confession
· Receive Holy Communion worthily
· Pray five decades of the Rosary
· Keep Our Lady company for 15 minutes while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary
Mass on the first Saturday of each month is at 8:30 am followed by reconciliation at 9:00 am.
