Stewards of God’s Gifts

“The one who confers benefits will be amply enriched, and the one who re-freshes others will personally be re-freshed.” (Proverbs 11:25)

(Proverbios 11:25)

FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER In the first reading, we hear Peter preaching about Jesus again. He uses the line from Psalm 118— “The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone”—to describe Jesus. This becomes the refrain for the psalm. We then hear from John in the second reading and the Gospel, comforting us with the image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd and us as the children of God. Let us consider the richness of these images as we listen to them today.

Churches. Serving the needy in Zip Codes 78654 & 78657

Phone (512) 755-3299 to request assis-tance or obtain information.

Today, we celebrate “Good Shepherd Sun-day” where we reflect on Jesus’ love and care for us. Through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is able to be “Good Shepherds” to the poor and those who live in fear and doubt, loneliness and dread. During the prior month of March, through your financial support, our Conference assisted 33 families with housing ex-pense, utility bills, food, and other expens-es. Thank you! ¡Muchas gracias!
