Sport Clubs are open to all Southeast students/faculty/staff with all skill levels from novice to expert. Sport Clubs are formed by individuals motivated by a common interest and desire to participate in a recreational, instructional or competitive activity. Challenge CoursesThe Southeast Challenge is an experiential education adventure, leading participants to make exciting discoveries about themselves and their role as team members. The Southeast Challenge facilitates team building with activities that call upon the participants to think, plan, take risks, trust, respect and support one another. The Southeast Challenge is also portable: Groups can meet at the Student Recreation Center or the Challenge staff can bring the challenge to you. Possible sites include: gymnasiums, corporate work sites, parks and classrooms

Who leads and who learns?Trained Southeast staff and students guide and facilitate Southeast Challenge groups and activities. All guides receive extensive on-going training. They are committed to a safe, fulfilling program for each participant. The workshops attract student organizations, classes, faculty members, administrative teams, and off-campus businesses and organizations. Many student organizations have taken the Southeast Challenge, and several professors have laid the groundwork for an especiallyrewarding class through this unique experience.

Where does the workshop take place?

The Southeast Challenge is portable. Many on and off campus sites are appropriate learning locations. Campus sites include the University Center, Johnson Faculty Center, residence halls, fraternity and sorority houses, classrooms, outdoor spaces and, of course, inside the main Student Recreation Center and the Student Recreation Center South Campus. Off campus groups may choose to meet at Southeast Missouri State University, or the Southeast Challenge staff can travel to another location.
