INTRODUCTIONSETAC is a not-for-profit, worldwide professional organization with 5,100 individuals and institutions in over 80 countries.

SETAC’s mission is to support the development of principles and practices for protection, enhancement and management of sustainable environmental quality and ecosystem integrity. The Australasian chapter of SETAC is the biggest and most active group in the Asia-Pacific Geographic Region. The SETAC-AU council are bringing the conference to Darwin because it is closer to Asia and will attract many of our colleagues from the broader region. The Darwin 2019 conference sits nicely between the SETAC-Asia Pacific meeting in Daegu, South Korea (September 2018) and the SETAC World Congress in Singapore (2020). As such, sponsorship of this event will offer additional benefits to sponsors by connectting them with a broader range of clients in the Asia-Pacific region.

The following pages list the range of sponsorship and exhibition packages on offer. We have aimed to facilitate sponsorship at all levels, and we have designed packages to cater for all budgets. WELCOME

As co-chairs of the organising committee, we are excited to invite you to join us in the Top End of Australia for the 2019 conference of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC – AU) to be held in Darwin, capital of the Northern Territory. The theme of the conference is “Protecting and improving the environment through collaboration – across disciplines and across borders”. The society’s focus of building-bridges with our colleagues with common interests has helped to bring the conference back to northern Australia and closer to our colleagues within the Asia-Pacific region. We will also be inviting societies with common interests to join us for special sessions that are aimed at their interests.

The conference will build on the strengths SETAC-AU has gained through our tripartite approach and our history of collaboration between, industry, government and academia. The society’s rich history is laden with achievements that have

demonstrated the benefits of our distinctive approach to maximise environmental outcomes through sharing knowledge. This conference will showcase this capacity with workshops, discussion forums and special sessions aimed at addressing the environmental questions that we share.

It is also fitting to have our next conference in picturesque Darwin, as the tropical Top-End is a hotspot for biodiversity, natural and cultural wonders. It is also a region that is rich in natural resources and has seen increasing pressures from industrial development and the legacy of historical mining activities. As such, it is a place where knowledge sharing offers are real opportunity for the long-term sustainable development of northern Australia. We encourage you find a little extra time to escape cold weather and explore the breath-taking experiences of our unique environments such as Kakadu, Litchfield and the Kimberley regions during the Dry Season.

Conference Program Advertising Conference Program Advertising in the Conference Abstract and Program Digital Handbook is issued to all delegates at the conference and contains sponsor information, the speaking program and abstracts, and as such is regularly referred to throughout

the conference with many delegates keeping it for reference afterwards and with availability in libraries.

Delegate Satchel Inserts A Satchel Insert gives the opportunity for all delegates to receive your material. You are able to have literature or a merchandising item placed into each delegate satchel, for viewing/ use both during and post-conference.

Printed material must be one item and no larger than A4 size; items (pen, pads, cups, key rings, etc.) may be inserted in place of a brochure

Terms & ConditionsThe following Terms and Conditions apply to ALL Sponsorship and Exhibition Stand Packages:

Confirmation of sponsorship is not final until receipt of Sponsorship & Exhibition Agreement Form. Payment of sponsorship monies is required at the time of your booking; entitlements may not be fulfilled if payment in full has not been received.

The Conference Convenor and the Organisers will take the utmost care to fulfil all listed benefits.

All marketing material and artwork must be provided by the sponsor at the sponsor’s own cost and provided to the Event Organiser, Britta Decker, Agentur Professional Conferences & Events, prior to 31 May 2019. Inclusions in the SETAC-AU 2019 conference print material will be forfeited if sponsorship is not confirmed and payment received prior to printing deadlines.

The sponsor is responsible for any display banners supplied and erected at the Conference and must coordinate with the Conference Organiser prior to the event. Sponsors are responsible for the security of their own equipment and materials whilst at the Conference.

Exhibition Stand booth numbers will be allocated from the floor plan on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellation PolicyIf the Sponsorship or Exhibition Stand Package can be resold to another company, the company will receive a full refund, less administrative fees of 25% of the total sponsorship or exhibition rate. If not able to be resold, the company will be liable to pay the following fees:

50% of the total sponsorship/exhibition fee, if the cancellation request is received in writing before 31 March 2019

100% of the total sponsorship/exhibition fee, if the cancellation request is received in writing after 31 March 2019

Any refunds of deposits paid will be made after the Conference but no later than 31 August 2019. The company will

not be entitled to any interest that the organiser may have derived from deposits made by the company. All bank charges, including senders and receiver’s charges, resulting from a refund related to cancellation of a sponsorship/ exhibition items will be passed on to the sponsor/exhibitor.
