The next edition of the largest international event on the use of laser scanners in Forestry will take place in Brazil from October 8 to 10, 2019 in Foz do Iguaçu. The 2019 edition of Silvilaser will also offer an exhibition space for companies and professionals in the industry to present their latest solutions and novel equipment.

Laser technologies, embedded in different platforms (orbital, airborne and fixed or mobile), have revolutionized the way forests are monitored and measured. Therefore, we are pleased to bring to your company a proposal that we consider special, as the best national and international experts and users of these technologies (LiDAR, ALS, TLS, MLS, etc.) will be gathering for a short period near one of the most spectacular natural sceneries in the world.

The event will show the most recent advancements on the use of scanners in Forestry, and will allow participants to network with service providers, researchers, consultants, teachers and students. The event will be organized by IPEF, an institution of recognized experience and a high national and international reputation, which for more than 50 years has brought companies and forest-based industries together in the process of developing research and new forestry technologies.

Iguazu Falls, the hosting city, brings together all the necessary conditions to offer participants a memorable experience by combining an environment rich in opportunities to relax and build new professional and personal relationships with the adequate infrastructure usually demanded by participants in such venues.

The period for the event was strategically chosen (October 8, 9 and 10, 2019). It coincides with the closure of the IUFRO 2019 World Congress, to be held in Curitiba (September 29 to October 5, 2019). Therefore, national and international foresters will feel very attracted to participate in these two major events. Reception and return of the booth

Thereceptionoftheboothwilltakeplaceonthefirstdayoftheevent(October8)at07h30AM.Thereturnwillbeon October 10, at 06h00 PM. One company representative must be assigned to receive and return the booth to a member of the Conference Organizing Committee.

Assembly

One member of the Organizing Committee will indicate the location of the booth, which will be delivered ready for the exhibitor to place and decorate the space. The installation of any element of decoration (like banner, display case, product, poster, counter etc) that impairs the visibility of neighboring stands is not allowed.

Internet

Access to internet will not be provided by the Organizing Committee. Exhibitors staying at the Mabu Hotel as guests, though, will be able to use their curtesy passwords to have access to the hotel local Wi-Fi connection.

Cleaning TheOrganizingCommitteeisinchargeofprovidingcleaningservicesincommonareas(aisles,receptionareaandbathrooms).Thecleaningofeachboothduringtheconferenceistheresponsibilityoftheexhibitor.Wasteproducedby the exhibitor in the booth must be properly disposed in trash bins specially located outside the exhibition room. The disposal of trash in aisles or any other space in the exhibition room is forbidden.

One TV set is available in each booth, with a HDMI input socket. Promotional stuff

Exhibitors may display and distribute folders, leaflets and gifts. Promotional material to be delivered inside the officialSilvilaserbag,anddeliveredtotheparticipantsduringtheregistrationprocess,mustbeprovidedaprioriaccordinglytotheexhibitorcategory(seespecifictopicbelow).

Distribution of Promotional Materials

The distribution of leaflets, gifts or any other promotional material in the corridors, aisles and common areas of the conference is not allowed. The distribution of this type of material can only be made at the exhibitor booth.

Safety

The Organizing Committee is responsible for the safety of all participants and exhibitors with regard to common areas of the conference. The occurrence of theft is always a matter of great concern, though, and all participants are urged to be cautious and take all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of their belongings. Exhibitors are responsible for the material they bring for exhibition in their booth, and are strongly advised for not leaving it unattended at any time.

Sound and artistic presentations

According to Brazilian standards (ABNT), maximum allowed noise levels must remain in the range between 40 to50decibels(NBR10152ofDec/1987).TVsintheboothswillberegulatedtorespecttheselevels.Theuseofsoundamplifiersandresettingtolevelsthatexceedmaximumlimitsisnotallowed.Artisticperformancesarealsoforbidden,even if performed within the stands area.

Image usage

Exhibitors must be aware that images and recordings captured during the exhibition are of public use, not constrained by any legal binding. All rights to use these images and recordings are free of charge and may be distributed freely by the Organizing Committee.

Decoration

Gardens, flowers and ornamental plants will be allowed inside the booth when contained in pots, baskets or other small containers that do not impair the visibility of neighboring stands. The use of these items is permitted provided that loose soil, sand and stones are not spilled directly onto the floor of the booth. The installation of inflatables of any type, shape or size is prohibited. Once the conference is closed, all material should be removed and the area cleaned.

Use of the booth The floor of the booth, as well as panels and any other structure, may not be permanently painted, punctured or scratched. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to charge the exhibitor with the cost of any eventual restaurationdue todamagecaused to thebooth,TVor furnitureprovided.Obstructionofemergencyexits,fireextinguishers,firehydrantsandpowerorwateroutletsisnotallowed.

Age limit to hosts and guests in the booth

Guests and hosts attending the booth must be above 14 years of age. Younger than 14 years old attendees must be accompanied by an adult. This rule also applies to any family member of the exhibitor.

Disassembly

Exhibitorsmustleavetheboothinthesamefashionasitwasreceived,removinganydecoration,equipmentandmaterials not originally found at the beginning of the conference. Any element added on after the booth was received should be removed before the entrance of the dismantling team. The exhibitor is solely responsible for theboothstructure,furniture,materialandequipmentinstalledanddisplayedduringtheconferenceuntiltheboothdisassembler teamarrives.TheOrganizingCommittee isnot responsible formaterialsorequipment left in thebooth at the end of the conference. Anything left over by the exhibitor in the booth or on the premises will be discarded the day after the closure of the conference.

Obligations of the Organizing Committee

The Organizing Committee will maintain in operation all basic services during the period of the event, such as electricity supply, restrooms, security, cleaning and access services to the common areas of the event. The Organizing Committee will oversee the assembly and dismantling of the booths, providing the exhibitor with all the necessary technical and administrative support. The Organizing Committee is publicizing the event in the widest possibleway,aimingatanexpressivepublicpresence,thusguaranteeingsignificantvisibilityfortheexhibitors.Nevertheless, it isthesoleresponsibilityoftheexhibitortodefineandproducespecificoutcomestomatchthecompany expectations.
