SPaT ChallengeTo challenge state and local public sector transportation infrastructure owners and operators (IOOs) to deploy DSRC infrastructure with SPaT (and MAP) broadcasts in at least one corridor or network (approximately 20 signalized intersections) in each state by January 2020

The fifth webinar covered USDOT RSU Specification v4.1, roadside equipment and backhaul communications, and DSRC licensing. The sixth webinar covered deployment and validation considerations, including the SCMS, vehicle compatibility, deployment verification, and available USDOT support services.

Blaine Leonard More recent webinars have shifted focus to operational SPaT deployments. The seventh webinar had presentations from Las Vegas, Virginia, and Utah on their SPaT deployments, and the eighth webinar had an additional presentation on the Pennsylvania deployment. The connected fleet challenge and equipping transit fleet vehicles were also presented. The ninth webinar had presentations on the operational SPaT deployments in North Carolina and Georgia.
