Dear Friends,

Greetings from Chandigarh Management Association!

About four months ago, I took over as President of Chandigarh Management Association with my strong conviction to take CMA to new heights. I am happy to share with you that in the last few months CMA has organised many useful and wonderful events and all this has given a platform to the CMA members to interact with experts from Industry and academia. The month of Oct started with a seminar on “Taking Business Globally – UAE” Then there was a talk by an authority of Law Sh K T S Tulsi senior advocate supreme court of India and member Rajya Sabha alongwith Dr Balram Gupta Director Judicial Academy Chandigarh . CMA also participated in a release of Book “You Can Achieve More” by Sh Shiv KheraSh V P Singh BadnoreHonorable Governor Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh released the book at Punjab Raj Bhavan. The month ended with informative session, namely, SME Yatra 2018 a session on Tally and Epson for MSMEs. Lastly I want to thank you., the members of CMA , who support our activities and continue to keep our association vibrant and active. Taking Business Globally – UAE Sharing ease of setting up office/business in UAE - SAIFZone

Chandigarh Management Association, participated in a seminar on ‘Taking Business Globally – UAE’ with FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organisation) and Officials of the SAIF ZONE, SHARJAH (UAE) held on October 8, 2018 at Hotel JW Marriot, Chandigarh. The seminar focused on the opportunities available in UAE, the investment opportunities and financing available for ease of setting up the same through SAIF ZONE. The information was shared with members followed by an open house discussion. More than 55 members participated in this informative event.

Criminal Justice in India

Talk by Sh. KTS Tulsi, Sr. Advovate, Apex Court and Member Rajya Sabha

CMA organized an eye opening discussion on October 18, 2018 on the topic Criminal Justice in India by the keynote speaker of the day, Sh. K T S Tulsi Sr. Advocate Supreme Court of India and Member Rajya Sabha. The speaker explained the challenges of the legal processes in executing criminal justice in India. On this occasion Dr Balram Gupta, Director, Judicial Academy Chandigarh was also present. The legal luminaries applauded the students of Aryan Colleges of law for their innovative EMunshi – Advocate Diary App.Spandan E news letter of CMA for the month of Sept 2018 was also released by Sh. KTS Tulsi. Held at Lions Club, Sector 18 Chandigarh this event was attended by around 80 people from amongst CMA Members and their families.This informative event was well covered by the leading media of the city.

CMA participated in SME YATRA-2018 on Oct 26, 2018. The theme of the event was to connect SME with right technology to help them grow. There was a presentation on new technology in printing from EPSON and GST Tax Compliance from Tally On thisoccasion CMA was conferred with Certificate of Appreciation for its outstanding performance and contribution to the SMEsector. In this event the speakers explained the entrepreneurs to learn about the new techniques and facilities available to them to make their businesses globally competitive. SME units are the back bone of the industry.Held at Hotel Homtel, Industrial Area Phase 1 Chandigarh, this event was attended by around 45 CMA members in addition to other participants.

CMA participated in the Book release function of the book “You Can Achieve More”, authored by Sh. Shiv Khera. Held at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh on October 24, 2018, his Excellency the Governer Sh. V.P.Singh Badnore (Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh) shared his nostalgic association with the Author, Shiv Khera. Khera also interacted with Members and talked about his book and his life Experiences in his mesmorising interation. CMA in this event was represented by 25 CMA members, including Past Presidents.
