BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

There is an old maxim which says, God helps those who help themselves. It means that God, thesuper natural power favorsonly themwho are ready tohelp themselves. Those who justwait and watchfor letting things happen automatically end up achieving nothing. However, working only is notsufcient. Barring a few exceptions, people keep on working or taking efforts. These efforts may be foany purpose, e.g. study, employment, business, sports, developing personal skills, sociacontributions, etc.Everybody isbusy insomeorotheractivity.

It is rightly said thathardworkcannotbeavoided.But despite ofeverybody takingsomuchofhardworkwe dont see everybody succeeding till the end. What might be the reason? Many of us believe that itmay bebad luckor incommonparlancewesay naseeb mehinahihai. But this isnot so. For any givenachievement, luck works only to the level of 2-5%. If it is so, then what is the lacking element? Thaelement is self-belief.Yes,self-belief.

It tends to happen that generally people keep on working without believing in themselves. If you juskeep on working hard without believing in yourself, all your efforts will go in vain. The foundation stonefor any structure of success is the self-belief itself. Without the ingredient call self-belief, the delicious

successdishcannotbeprepared.

We all know about the giant mammal elephant. If we observe carefully, this mighty animal, which candestroy strongest of the trees in the forest, is tied easily with the support of just a metal chain. If wecompare the support given by the chain and the power of the elephant, the support is very easy for theelephant to break, but still it cant. Why?The reason is that the elephant thinks that he cannot break thechain. The reason relates to its infancy. When the elephant was just an infant, and was tied to a similachain, it was not possible to break it out. Since then, it has got in its mind that the chain is impossible tobreak. Soafterall it relates to thepowerof self-belief.

Similar is the situation of most of us in our day to day life. Students study with the fear of failure. Our

mind is a case which can occupy only one sword, either belief or fear. But most of us carry the fear withus. It is very necessary for the students to stop worrying about failure and start believing in themselvesStudents get the fear because of various inputs they get from various sources. No doubt, any exam inthis world is hard to clear but it does not mean it cannot be cleared. The basic thing required for anyexamisbeliefabout oneself.

Notonly students, but businessmen, professionals, sportpersons,and people involved invarious otheactivities carry the fear of failure in their mind. This fear does not let them achieve the results.To repeaagain, only one thing can get rid of fear and that is belief. So not just students, but all other people whoaspire toachievenewheights of success in life shouldrst start believing inyourself.

In the beginning of this article, I have quoted one maxim. I repeat it here God helps them who help

themselves. I have an idea ahead of it and I know it works. Unless you believe in yourself, neither theworld will believe nor will God believe.And if God does not believe in you, then I dont think there is anypossibility of achieving anything. So if you wish and pray God to help you then rst believe in yourselfthenhelpyourselfand thenonlywillGod cometoyourhelp, that too if required.

So, the bottom-line is that if you want tosucceed inanythingyou desire, rst youshould believe that youcan and thenstart working onyou. I amsure, the success isyours.
