At Le Tre Vaselle Resort, in a place where everything evokes grapes and wine, special services and facilities dedicated to relaxation and well-being are de rigueur. A wellness centre that goes beyond the traditional, starting with its name – beauty from grapes – continuing with the inspiring col-ours and culminating in the unique architecture with its sinuous forms that evoke the shape of a grape cluster.

Needless to say, a glass of wine – or a herbal tea of vitis vinifera – accompanies each treatment and the wine used for treatment baths is the precious fruit of the sur-rounding hillsides.While one luxuriates in the treatments, wine speaks through multilingual enological phrases and the colourful adjectives of wine terminology inscribed on the ceiling.

The key is knowledge and awareness because the culture of taste, the state of being and feeling well, are also enhanced by grapes, just as our ancestors knew. Not everyone knows that grapes, their leaves and wine have extraordinary antioxidant properties and can have benefi cial effects on skin, circulation, forms of stress and skin aging. Resort

Le Tre Vaselle: immersed in the tranquillity of the medi-eval town of Torgiano, at the gates of Perugia and Assisi, it overlooks green terraces and gardens, the wide Tiber river valley and above all the famous Torgiano vineyards.

Its name derives from three 17th century ceramic wine vessels – or “vaselle” – and it has been restored from a large 17th century home of which it preserves the traditional structures and materials – thick walls, wooden beams, cotto fl oors, large stone fi replaces, antique furnishings, hand-loomed fabrics. The setting lets guests experience the charming atmosphere of an antique noble country house, making their stay even more evocative.

High-level hospitality and utmost comfort: guests feel at home and pampered by impeccable service and sur-rounded by a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Restaurant

A refi ned restaurant, famous for the authentic fl avours of a cuisine that re-interprets Umbrian tradition, expertly paired with wines from the Lungarotti and other winer-ies. Torgiano

A strategic stop on the Canticle Wine Road and an ancient Roman set-tlement whose legend connects it with the name of the god Janus, the two-headed god to whom the antique watch tower is dedicated, called “Torre di Giano”. A Medieval village in the heart of Umbria at the confl uence of the Tiber and Chiascio rivers among hills deco-rated by vineyards and olive groves.

Spello (27 km)

Perched on a spur of Mount Su-basio between Assisi and Foligno, Spello offers a rich artistic, cul-tural and environmental heritage. Remains from the Roman, Medi-eval and Renaissance periods are blended in a unique example of intense beauty. A renowned event is the Infi orata procession for the feast of Corpus Domini.

Cantine Lungarotti

Founded by Giorgio Lungarotti in the 1960’s, the Lungarotti winery’s heart are the two estates in Torgiano and in Montefalco. Commitment and professionalism are fundamental characteristics of the company that guarantees the entire production process from the vine to the bottle and promotes the territory and Um-bria through the quality of its wines, hospitality and culture. At Lungarotti, passion is the added value.

Wine Museum

The Wine Museum is a world-class private collection exploring the civilization of wine and the vine: through exceptional collections of art, archeology, history and tech-niques displayed in its 20 rooms, the museum guides the visitor through 5000 years of wine history. It explores the evidence of wine as a cultural element and how the hedonistic and health-promoting properties of this beverage are valid to this day when used with knowledge and moderation.

Poggio alle Vigne

For those who prefer to experience nature fi rst-hand in a more informal at-mosphere compared to Le Tre Vaselle, there is Poggio alle Vigne Agriturismo with its country homes – Poggio, Pometo and Poggiolo – transformed into hospitality facilities, full of charm and completely surrounded by vine-yards. The careful restoration work in these homesteads is an example of rig-orous and faithful recovery of Umbria’s typical country habitat; the furnishings are welcoming and the décor, including trompe-l’oeil on the walls, recalls rural life. Quality and hospitality in authentic countryside that is as green as Umbria.

La Spola

La Spola is a craft shop adjacent to Le Tre Vaselle, just a short walk from the Wine Museum. Its name recalls the shuttle of the hand-weaving loom, one of which is still on display in the store. The two fl oors of the small home with its long history give the place of hon-our to the hand-loomed fabrics that are still produced throughout the region, from Perugia to Città di Castello. A cozy atmosphere for shopping that offers the best of local handicrafts.

Olive and Oil Museum

A still-young but very prestigious museum that displays works related to the olive’s mythological origins, the use of oil as a source of light or in religion, medicine, nutrition, sports, cosmetics: olive oil across the centuries, both in daily life and as a signifi cant element of culture that has attributed symbolic, propitiatory and curative values to the tree and its product.

Next to the Wine Museum is the Osteria del Museo, a warm and inviting wine-shop and tasting room for Lungarotti products: wine, extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic grape condiment.

During weekdays it is also possible to taste and purchase Lungarotti products at the winery shop. Guided tours (by appointment) are an added attraction for learning about the fascinating history of wine.

Spa arrival

Bathrobes, towels, slippers and caps will be supplied during your Spa experience. Bathing suits are for sale at the Spa Re-ception. Changing rooms and lockers are available for keeping clothing and personal effects.

Rescheduling

Cancellation or rescheduling of treatments must be made at least 12 hours in advance. Cancellations made between 6 and 12 hours before the ap-pointment time will incur a 50% charge and less than 6 hours before appointment will incur a 100% charge.
