30k for top school posts>> Ugu education director in jobsforcash scamCANDYCE KRISHNA ANDVUSI MTHALANE
UGU district Department of Ed-ucation (DoE) director forlower South Coast, Mfundi
Sibiya, has been implicated in a jobs-for-cash scam which involves sellingof senior DoE posts to anyone will-ing to fork out R30 000.
This came to light after an inves-tigationby our sister newspaper, CityPress, revealed that Sibiya (54), twoschool principals from Hibberdeneand Umzumbe and an UmzumbeANC ward 16 councillor allegedlyordered a hit on Nkosinathi Zondi(46) last year after heblewthewhis-tle on the practice. At the time ofhis death, Zondi was NyonemhlophePrimary School principal and hadjust been elected Sadtu’s South Coastregional chairman. He was shot fivetimes at his home last May.
Sibiya, Lindani Mkhize (40) andMhlengi Luthuli (38) and the coun-cillor were arrested this year forplanning hisdeathandweregranted
bail in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Courton Wednesday last week.
Zondi died shortly after speaking-out onwhat he saidwas a “rife prac-tice” on the South Coast of sellinggovernment posts and tenders bySibiya. Andile Zulu and LungisaniMakhoba are alleged to be the hit-men hired by Sibiya and his co-ac-cusedand arecurrently inpolicecus-tody. It was revealed by the investi-gating officer in court last week thatthe chairperson of the Khathi Highschool governing body in Mthwa-lume, SandileMzizi, allegedly organ-ised the hit-men for Sibiya after re-ceiving R12 000.
Mzizi has since turned state wit-ness. A senior Port Shepstone Sadtuofficial who spoke on condition ofanonymity confirmed that Sibiyacontrolled the allocation of posts tocandidates who had paid for them.Zondi’swifeMatutu,whowasateach-er, was shot dead while walking toschool in Umlazi three years ago. That case remains open.

Sibiya was released on bail of R5 000. Mkhize andLuthuli’s bail was set at R3 000. The DoE has inthe meantime announced that it has suspendedthe trio. Department spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi said suspending the three was “the right thingto do” and did not mean they were guilty.
“The department [of education] will temporarily fill their positions so the function of education can continue. We will continue to monitorthe case and once the legal process is over, we willthen take further steps.” Sibiya’s bail conditionsstipulate that he not directly or indirectly interfere, communicate or influence any state witnesses, not change his residential address, not leave KwaZuluNatal without prior permission from the investigating officer and report every Saturday toScottburgh SAPS. Mkhize and Luthuli were not ordered to relocate but to report to Hibberdene andthe nearest police station respectively. They arenot to contact witnesses or leave the province.

A LIVE preelection debate had to be stopped onTuesday after local supporters from various partiesstarted booing debaters and each other.
Broadcast by Ugu Youth Radio 93.4FM, the segment was intended to give all parties a chance todebate their manifestos in a runup to next week’snational election.
Held at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre, the debate included members from the ANC, NFP, Cope,SACDP, IFP and DA.
Before being taken off air, the local party representatives managed to get some of their messagesacross, but as the crowd grew increasingly unruly, itwas decided to can the segment.
Mntomuhle Khawula said that the IFP wouldspeedup service delivery in towns and rural areas
and ensure quality education for all by buildingschools. He said affordable rates would be set forpeople in towns and roads would be improved.
The ANC’s Sipho Dlamalala said the party is celebrating 20 years of freedom and service delivery withthe people of South Africa and that its work is credible.
“We have provided people with water, electricity, land claims, access to free basic education and haveprovided bursaries to deserving students to ensurequality education for all. We have improved healthcare for all and provided national health insurance. We committed ourselves to fighting corruption,” saidDlamalala.
Cope’s Bheki Khusi lashed out at the ANCled government, accusing it of being “proud” and of beingtoo liberal with allocation of social grants.
“South Africa is becoming a social grantdependent state. I am not saying that I am against the
provision of social grants to the poor people, butwhat I disagree with is ANC politicians who standproudly in the public podiums and say they have provided so much social grants to the people.”
Khusi urged voters to make a mark for Cope sothat they could fight corruption. “We need to changeour electoral system and have a president elected bythe people themselves,” he said.
Layidliva Mbuthuma urged people to vote NFP tostop provision of infrastructure without consultation. “We must stop the building of white elephants, which are created by a lack of public consultations.”
The SACDP’s Ntokozo Zama said that they havetaken note of unrest at universities caused by alleged poor administration and financial aid issues.
“We will sort out that when we get into power. Wewill create [an environment conducive to financialindependence] so that they will not depend onsocial grants for survival.
“Social grants take us backwards and as a countrywill not be sustainable. We will grow tourism and create more jobs. We will stop cadre deployment andemployment of friends in government.
“We will stop corruption and end the red tape forthose that want to start their own businesses,” saidZama.
Lennard Ngcobo of the DA said “Together forchange and jobs, DA will cut corruption and speedupservice delivery as we do in the Western Cape.
“We will provide better health care, fight povertyand create sustainable and real jobs for our people.”

WHEN an Umtentweniman witnessed aSouth Africa Social
Security Agency (SASSA) em-ployee place her own finger-prints on a document with aplastic bag over her hand, thefirst thought that crossed hismind was that it was fraud.
The man, who asked not tobe named for fear of being vic-timised, recorded the incidentat Maburg SASSA offices on18 February.
After recording the inci-dent with his cellphone, hesays he notified senior SASSAstaff who he says“brushed meoff.” The Fever is in posses-sionof the video footagewhichcan be viewed on our websitewww.southcoastfever.co.za.
It shows a woman believedto be a SASSA employee ink-ing and putting her own fin-gerprints on a stack of docu-ments. What raises suspicionis that the woman’s hand iscovered by a green plastic bagas she inks and stamps herfingerprints.
“This had to be brought tosomeone’s attention as I’msure this is not standard prac-tice.Ispoke to staff at the officebut they didn’t seem to care.
“I then got the numbers ofthree managers and contactedthem. They said they would getback to me but did not,” said the
man. After weeks of waiting forfeedbackfromanyoneoftheman-agers,themanbecamefrustratedandapproachedtheFeverandre-quested that it be investigated. “Iwent to the Fever because thosemanagers did not care that there
could be fraudulent activities go-ing on in their office.”
The Fever contacted FrankEarl, SASSA’s Head of Opera-tions for KwaZulu-Natal forcomment and furnished himwith the complainant’s details.
After viewing the video cliphe first commented that aninvestigation would be con-ducted. About twoweeks later,Earl responded: “We have noreason to believe this is fraud.
The complainant is uncooper-ative with SASSA and we can-not conclude our investiga-tion.”
The Fever then questionedwhether the employee’s ac-tions in the video clip werestandard practice. There hasbeen no reply from Eearl.
“Nobody from SASSA con-tacted me,” said the man.
“They would have had myfull attention if they did.”

Businesses rip into HCM>> Ongoing service delivery failures are hampering small, local businesses, say meeting attendants
VUSI MTHALANE>>[email protected]
LOCAL business owners used ameeting called by the HibiscusCoast Municipality(HCM) on
Thursday to rip into municipal rep-resentatives about their “disap-pointment”at ongoing service deliv-ery failures which they say arenegatively affecting small business-es.
HCM called themeeting to try andfind ways of “improving relations”with local business owners and to“listen to their concerns”.
The main complaints raised bythe business fraternity included poorcommunication from the municipal-ity, poor maintenance of infrastruc-tureandroads,andthemunicipality’sfailure to “look after” local business-es. Inhis opening remarks,HCMmu-nicipal manager, Maxwell Mbili, saidhis office is aware that local busi-nesses are the municipality’s “key
strategicpartner”andneed tobewelllooked after.
Outlining what the municipality’srole is in the partnership, Mbili saidit is HCM’s aim and duty to create anenvironment that is conducive forbusiness to thrive.
“If we are not creating that envi-ronment we expect you as the busi-ness sector to tell us, but for you todothat you need to structure yourselvesandspeakwithonevoice,” saidMbili.
He was referring to what he saidwasa lackof unity; stating that the lo-cal business sector is “too fragment-ed”.
Hewent on to sayHCMhas identi-fiedeight “enemiesof themunicipali-
ty” which hamper development inthe region.Henamed thepoor condi-tion of the roads, slow refuse collec-tion,brokenstreet lights,vergemain-tenance, delays in approval of build-ing plans, failure to enforce bylaws, failure to spend the capital budgetand failure to strike a balance be-tween compliance and service deliv-ery.
Mbili said there are programmesin place to tackle and address theseshortcomings.
“We have improved the turn-aroundtimeforrefusecollectionto24hours and we have budgeted R9mil-lion for verge maintenance,” saidMbili.
Headdedthatthemunicipalitywillplace more focus on improvingroads and reducing the delay in ap-proval of plans.
Several businessowners said theyfelt it was no use raising their con-cerns and issues with themunicipal-ity as they had been doing so foryears without results.
“Business people on the SouthCoast are fed up,” said businessmanLouis van Niekerk.
“It gets tiring to report the sameissues for years with nothing gettingdone about it.”
Port Shepstone medical practi-tioner Dr Mahommed Khan said themunicipality should have incentives
in place to reward local businessesand also to attract new business intothe area.
He said most of the deteriorationthat was evident in the CBD, whichranges from illegal dumping to ram-pant disregard of traffic rules bytrucks and taxis, was because of alack of supervision.
Margate Chamber of Businesschairman, Ivan Naidoo, said the factthat themeetingwaspoorly attendedcould be attributed to HCM’s poorcommunication. He agreed that thelocal business sector is too dividedand pointed to the infighting that hasbeen going on in his own Chamber, which he said has finally been sortedout. “Our job is to promote the inter-ests of emerging businesses but it isdisappointing that they are not rep-resented in this meeting,” saidNaidoo.
Mbili said he would look into theissues raised and report back in a fol-low-up meeting.
‘IF WE ARE NOT CREATING THAT ENVIRONMENT WE EXPECTYOU AS THE BUSINESS SECTOR TO TELL US, BUT FOR YOU TODO THAT YOU NEED TO STRUCTURE YOURSELVES AND SPEAKWITH ONE VOICE’ HCM MUNICIPAL MANAGER, MAXWELL MBILI

A few years ago I had a very interesting conversation with a manwho shared our president's view
that the ANC is going to rule SouthAfrica forever. Our dear president's exact words were actually that the ANCis going to stay in power until Jesusreturns. I have never been that goodat predicting the future, which is whyI am well suited as a journalist.
In fact, I have never aspired to havea job as glamorous as that of aprophet or even an ANC president.
Besides exercising my right to vote,I don’t have a desire to actively takepart in politics as I believe my skin isnot thick enough. That does not stopme, though, from making observationsand having opinions about what isgoing on.
I’m already looking forward to thelull that usually comes after the general elections. From my advantageous
position as a journalist I’ve noted thedifferent campaigning tactics thatvarious political parties have beenemploying. Already I can see which areworking and which aren't.
I'm not sure about ruling until Jesusreturns, but what is apparent is that itmay take a miracle for other parties totake control of the country, or even theprovince, from the ANC next year.
I know that political parties spenda lot of money on campaign specialistsand consultants, but I must say that Ithink some are just doing it wrong.
I think the foremost rule when itcomes to campaigning before youspend any money on it is that theparty leadership has to be visible, andI'm not talking about TV.
If you want people to vote for you, they have to see you and your party inthe flesh constantly. The ANC lookslike it became aware of this a longtime ago because since the beginningof last year, no week went by withoutsome ANC bigwig visiting a particular area.
I have seen eight cabinet ministersand the entire KZN cabinet in the pastfour months. But then the ANC hasmany funds to dip into, both publicand private, to enable it to fly its topand middle brass and their entourages all around the country.
The ANC can also afford to budgetfor and spend millions on food parcelsthat draw thousands to their gatherings all around the province.
The Democratic Alliance (DA)seems to think that being vocal and
pointing out all the wrong things thatthe ANC is doing or not doing is themost perfect way of campaigning.
I recently read a statement by DApresident Hellen Zille that they aretaking the KZN province in the 2016local government elections. Thatwould be interesting since I rarely eversee any senior DA leader actively campaigning for his or her party in theareas I move in.
The IFP seems to think that criticizing the ruling party and mentioning all the good the IFP did whenthey ran the province many moonsago will translate into votes. Thesame goes for the NFP.
I don't mean to rain on anybody'sparade, but I think this is going toproduce quite the opposite effect.
I think the ANC has made it verydifficult for other parties because ithas conditioned people to free ‘stuff’,which is hard to keep up with.
What the other parties shouldknow is that the masses that have theability to change the political landscape of the province and the countrydon't care about your plans for theyear 2019. These people care onlyabout what you can do for themtoday and now, thus the food parcels.
Living in Africa means you have todo politics the African way and I believe the ANC has set a blueprint thatis going to take many years to get ridof.
Every election we are going to havefrom here onwards may just be wonthrough availability of food parcels.
Food parcel, anyone?

THIS week on page two we bringyou the story of an alleged SASSAemployee who, on a video clip, canbe seen putting her prints ondocuments while her finger is covered with a plastic bag.
The video can be viewed atwww.southcoastfever.co.za, and itis up to you to decide what yousee happening.
The sad thing about this scenario is that the man who secretlytook the video took the matterto senior SASSA officials whodownplayed it. The official couldnot or would not tell the ‘whistleblower’ or this newspaper anything that may have allayed public fears or a public outcry.
Our lead story on page oneabout the alleged sale of government posts is another issue up forsevere scrutiny. May justice prevail.
Next week, on Wednesday 7May, you have an opportunity tovote. It would be unwise to squander such an opportunity. We at theFever urge you to make your mark, which is one of the best ways ofholding government accountable.

IN this constitutional democ-racy of ours, the voters arefaced with an alphabet soupof political parties that arecontesting the national andprovincial elections.
Many of them are builtand based around one or twoindividuals or family con-cerns like the Mulders of theVF plus and what Rajbansiwas for the Minority Front. The UDM is centred aroundBantu Holomisa and the EFFaround the misplaced popu-larity of Julius Malema.
Then you have parties likeCOPE who spent its previousterm of five years contestingits leadership battles in thecourts of South Africa anddid little to develop policydocuments, thus leavingtheir supporters of 2009 con-fused and bewildered.
In the once mighty IFP wehave a party that is a formershadow of itself with a leaderthat is more concerned abouthis legacy than the perform-ance and decline of his sup-port base.
Their offshoot, the NFP, isbased mainly in KwaZulu-Natal and is untested in pro-vincial and National politicsbut aligned itself with theANC at local government lev-el. The ACDP is also a one
man show based on religiousbeliefs.
Our constitution providesfor religious freedomand rec-ognises the right of all citizensto worship in churches andtemples, tabernacles andmosques, wherever one feelscomfortable to do so.
That brings us to the re-maining options. The Demo-cratic Alliance and the Afri-can National Congress.
We all know that the ANCunder President Zuma is fail-ing the country and is takingus backwards in all respects.Corruption is rife in allspheres of government underANC control and it is a partyof insiders and outsiders.
If you are part of them youwill benefit.Whenyouarenotpart of their inner circle youare considered to be a secondclass citizen. We don’t evenhave to mention Nkandla ore-Tolls that are forced ontothe general public and will becomingtotheotherprovinces.
The ANC is a party of foodparcels and promises.
Before every election theygoout tothepoorerruralcom-munities to secure their voteswith promises of a better lifeandfoodparcelsthatarefund-ed by the taxpayers of thiscountry.
Just before the next elec-tion they appear again... withmore of the same.
The Democratic Alliancehas a track record of servicedelivery where we govern.
The Western Cape outper-forms all the other provincesinallaspects.CapeTownisthebest run city in South Africaand regularly wins interna-tional awards. Cape Town isalso the best tourist destina-tion.
Twenty eight municipali-ties under DA control are outperforming the rest. In short, where theDAgovernswegov-ernbetter than any other par-ty. The DA has sound policiesthat we implement where weare in control.
The DA is the only partythat has shown consistentgrowth from 1994 to date. In1994 the then DP received1.7%of thevoteandat the lastelection we received 24% ofthe vote. This trend is set tocontinue in the 2014 elec-tions.
The message is clear –don’t waste your vote onsmall parties that can’t makean impact in your life and fu-ture.

THE constant water shortagein Ramsgate area, whichstarted as a trickle on 21 De-cember 2013, has became afull blown (dry) storm experi-enced since 13 April.
The utter mismanage-ment of our water supply bythe Ugu District Municipalityis nothing less thana criminalact perpetrated against thethousands of inhabitants andthousands more tourists whovisit the area regularly.
The water supply in Ram-sgate failed on the followingdates: 15 February, 4-5March, and 9, 13, 14, 15, 16,18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 25April 2014.
As you know, these datescoincided with school holi-daysand theEasterweekend.
One can imagine the dis-appointment and outrage ofholiday makers who paythousands to spend time atthe beaches, but had to en-dure the inconvenience ofbuying drinking water andbe content not being able to
bathor takea shower fordayson end.
Holiday letting agents, managers and caretakers ofholiday accommodationswere inundated with com-plaints from tourists.
I spoke to people withknowledge regarding thetransfer of liquids over greatdistances and altitudes.
It seemsthat theregulationof pressure in pipe lines is thegreatest factor that keeps thesystems safe and operational.
I recently communicatedwithanofficialresponsibleformunicipal water distributionabout the constant pressurebursts of the old asbestos wa-ter lines at sea level.
I was informed that waterlines in certain areas in Ram-sgate (speciallyat sea level)donot have pressure valves toregulate the constant flow ofwater – therefore the spike inwater pressure each time thepipes are fixed. We have be-come so used to this fluctua-tioninwaterpressure,thatwe
can predict when the nextpressure burst will occur!
Myquestion toUgu is plainand simple: Why are theseforces that regulate pressurein thewater lines not adheredto?
The technical teams spendevery day fixing burst pipes, but nobody seems to careabout the real solutions.
How long will we have toendurethediscomfortandhu-miliation? Is it perhaps thepoor quality of workmanshipof the technicalpeopleordoesthe problem lie higher up inmanagement?
Does Ugu have the finan-cialresourcestorectify thesit-uation? Does the political willexist to start planning for fu-ture replacement of outdatedwater pipes?
Andwhat about regulatingpressure of the water lines toprevent pressure bursts be-fore theyoccur?Areweon theway to a banana republic?

WITH the two long weekends andthe school holidays over, UguSouth Coast Tourism cannot rest.
From May 14, the ultra popularAfrica Bike Week hits Margate asthousands of motor bike mad folkfrom all over South Africa convergeon the Greater South Coast for afeast of retail, entertainment, outrides and biker fellowship as presented through the iconic HarleyDavidson brand.
As the last of the riders rumbleoff home, the prospect of the Sardine Festival Programme loomswith all sorts of events beingplanned to not only draw visitorsto our area but also provide experiences to enhance their stay.
If you combine fishing competitions, golf and bowls events, UguJazz festival, Lions Show, MTBevents, Interprovincial SchoolsNetball, festivals and culturalevents up and down the coast, beach programmes, the MargateAir Show, marathons and endurance races (and the list goes on) itis true to say that here down southour collective of events is probablythe most comprehensive of any inKwaZuluNatal at this time of year.
As is the case with any touristdestination, we all need to receiveall our visitors in a hugely welcoming and hospitable manner afterall word of mouth sells more thanan advert in a glossy magazine.
Deep in the bowels of the Eastern Cape Highlands, the mountain
folk in the tiny hamlet of Rhodesstarted a Stoepfees whereby visitors could walk the quaint streetsand stop over at a number ofcharming homes to check out art, craft, sample foods, drink wine andbe entertained all with a friendlyand very personal touch. The resulthas been that after one year,Rhodes has become oversubscribed with visitors (some staying60 km away just to take day tripsto the ‘fees’) and the number ofevent days has been increased.
It is that personal touch thatimpresses people. It is by goingthat extra mile for our paying customer that will bring them backyear after year and also for themto recommend our area to others.

Dear Doctor Nash,I married a divorced man, and all he wants
in our marriage is peace because his previouswife was such a nag.
But we live in an outbuilding on his father’sproperty. We support his family financially andwhen my husband and I are at work his parentslook after our child.
I can accept this as it is our cultural duty, and our child is safe. But when I am at work orout shopping my husband discusses our family business with his parents and betweenthem they make all the decisions.
My husband and his family leave me out,but it is our life not his family’s. I am fed upliving in an outhouse on their property andsupporting them, and then my husband doesnot even ask my opinion, but just leaves meout.
I want to move out and take my child andmy husband, I want to be included in the
decisions that affect me and my family andnot just be a money robot.
One Angry Woman
Dear O.A.W. I am with you, but there mustbe a reason why your husband is leaving youout of these decisions.
Does he not think that you have a brain andsome common sense? He knows you! If youare a sensible woman, as well as angry, I thinkyou must sit him down and ask him why he isdoing this, and if he has a good answer welland good, but if not then tell him marriage isa partnership and that means there has to betrust and sharing, so start to share with youand to respect your opinion.
If not then tell him he will not see a cent ofyour salary and that means that he must support his family and his wife and child all on hisown, and we hope this makes him happy because you will make the decisions.

ILLEGAL occupants have been warned thatif they do not vacate low-cost governmenthousing, they will face the wrath of the law.
Hibiscus Coast mayor, Cynthia Mqwebu, made the statement on Thursday last weekat Umkholombe when she was handing overtitle deeds to residents.
The deeds came after a long wait, with thehouses being built in 1999. Mqwebu said shewas aware of complaints made by residentsabout shoddy contractors and unnecessarydelays in the issuing of deeds, but her mainfocus area was on the illegal occupants in thearea, which she said she was well aware of.
“We know thatmany of you just took occu-pation of the houses illegally when you sawthem unoccupied. The legal beneficiaries ofthose houses could not be traced, or maybethey are dead, but there is a process totrans-fer title deeds to their relatives.
“If you are in the house illegally, you mustvacate nowand report to themunicipality be-fore we send municipal police to evict you.You will not get title deeds because we haveno title deeds for you. We have title deeds forlegal beneficiaries,” said Mqwebu.
She said that other title deeds are still be-ing processed in Pietermaritzburg.

THE Lower South CoastSPCA is offering sterilisa-tion at a subsidised rate ofR350 for dogs and cats, male and female, in May.
To qualify, individualsmust earn R5 000 or lessa month. Proof of incomeand an affidavit to provethat the individual is un-employed is required.
According to MichaelMuller, manager for theLower South Coast SPCA,the organisation received a
total of 2 471 animals - ei-ther through stray ani-mals, donations or collec-tions - between April 2013and March this year.
“The sadpart is that only441 of the stray animalswere claimed by their own-ers. This leaves us with2 030 animals that couldbe deemed as unwanted,”said Muller.
He strongly advised petowners to sterilize theirpets in order to curb thehigh volumes of strays.
The average cost ofeach animal amounts to
R447 a year. That isR1,1 million per anum. Most animals have a stayfor about two months withus when we try and getthem re-homed,” he said
“If we could sterilisemore dogs and cats to re-ducethenumberofunwant-ed domestic animals, it willreduce the cost of re-hom-ing, prevent a lot of crueltytowards these animals andreduce the riskof spreadingcontagiousdiseases suchasrabies.” The SPCA wouldlike to achieve 500 sterili-sations during the drive.

“There will be more exhibitors and some municipalities have really exciting plans for the day,” he
said. Dr Clive Coetzee from the KZN Treasury adds:“If we can leverage the airshows, pilots and vested
stakeholders to the benefit of children then we aremaking a difference in the province and in the aviation industry and we’re not just taking aviation tothe people but we are bringing aviation to the children.”
Each show includes up to 20 local economic development vendors who will trade at the airshow. Overthe past two years the local economic developmentprogramme has grown significantly at each airshowwith success stories of traders returning to be part ofsomething special in their community”.

WE have yet again been superblessed with amazing waves andgood weather this week. Sundaymight not have been great butMonday was definitely a day for therecord books.
I'm sure each and every spot onthe South Coast was going mad forthe better part of the day. There wasa significant crowd out at St Mikeswhere the vibe was awesome andmore than enough waves to go
around. While there, I was joined by Jus
tin and Dane Klusener, Wayne Beekman, Sean Bahlmann, Dune Barkerand Bradley Moys, who also tookadvantage of the great conditions.I truly hope that the good offshoreconditions will continue for the nextweekend. Powerful Warriorsdemolish Dolphins
>> Local team capitalizes on Ballito players’ weaknesses
VUSI MTHALANE
ON Saturday the FidelitySouth Coast Warriorsplayed the Ballito Dolphins
and demolished them 78-7 atDouglas Mitchell sports grounds.
The Warriors dominated thegame from start to finish, givingno room to the visitors to plan anycounters.First team coach Chris-to Henderson it was all thanks to
the hard work that went into pre-paring for the match.
“The Ballito team was a littlebit weak and we capitalized onthose weak points,” said Hender-son. The Warriors team seems tohave gelled very well with goodcommunication on the pitch.
“Everyone is enjoying theirgame and that is important for aclubthat players do want to play,"said Henderson. As the Warriors
continue on their remarkablewinning streak, Henderson stillfeels there are areas that he needsto improve on as he prepares toface the Harlequins in their nextgame. “We will have a high focuson the forward play this week asHarlequins have a very strongpack and their game plan goesaround it. We will also ensurethat our defence structure is100% and that everyone under-
stands our game plan in full," hesaid. The game will be played atthe Harlequins turf and Hender-son said he knows it is going to bethe toughest game this season.
Try scorers were Francois DeKock (2), Ben Oosthuizen (2),Dawie Durrheim, Chris Mitchell(2), Tienie Viljoen (2), JuandreKoekemoer,DavidvanZylandDy-lan Kroon. Kroon also scored 9conversions.
