Non-broadcast production systemsSony offers complete systems for non-broadcast applications, encompassing cameras, switchers, monitoring, audio, storage and archive. Professional camcorders

Professional camcorders can be highly customised to meet individual production requirements. Typical uses include shooting footage for use in documentaries, product launches, corporate interviews, testimonials, training videos and web content.

Various camera choices are available to match different specialist requirements and these can be enhanced with a variety of accessories. Options include wireless and wired microphones to ensure the best audio is captured, headphones for accurate monitoring, conversion or interchangeable lenses to enable wider or longer shots and an assortment of media and power choices to match recording requirements. Footage can be transferred to a computer for editing or backed-up and reviewed in the field with a dedicated deck. Certain cameras can also be remotely controlled and monitored on a laptop or tablet for even more flexibility.

Compact production/presentation solution

This type of presentation and production solution allows various sources to be easily integrated into a single production and then distributed to viewers.

Typical applications include lecture theatres, event centres, portable production solutions and web content producers.

Various video sources, including pre-recorded content, live camcorders, remotely controlled pan tilt zoom cameras, computer-based presentations and various audio sources are able to be integrated.

This can be shown live on local displays or content can be streamed to viewers, via the web, on computers or tablets. Participants at remote sites, such as a separate campus or facility, can also be integrated to allow audience interactivity.

Production studio

This type of studio is designed for larger studio-based setups where multiple cameras and other video sources are used. Typical installations would include large government departments who regularly produce their own in-house programming, large houses of worship and facilities that want the most flexibility to adapt to any type of production.

Multiple cameras can be controlled and matched by remote operators and these along with other video sources are sent to a vision mixer, allowing different sources to be selected and effects applied.

The sources and outputs are monitored to select the appropriate images and the talent on set can also view the production.

Audio is handled by a separate audio mixer and the final production is recorded, streamed or broadcast.

Auckland Museum – Exhibit projector solutionsAuckland War Memorial Museum prides itself in exhibits featuring cutting edge presentation techniques to demonstrate very important projects for the Museum. Two current exhibits, ‘Moana My Ocean’ and the ‘Hillary Exhibit’ feature clever use of standard, short throw and ultra short throw projectors to project, for example, Sir Edmund’s trek up Everest on a 3D model or immerse the patron in an underwater ‘boil up’.
